PHYSICAL INTERACTIONS - STORYTELLING

This project was an exploration into the idea of interactions and conversations between user and product would retain longievity. The products tried to provide characters that users

could interact with hopefully providing a certain empathy that could stop people from simply thinking of the products as disposable.

The products were displayed at New Designers, Islington 2008

PHYSICAL INTERACTIONS - CITRUS JUICER

This project was a short venture into physical interaction. The issues I wanted to address most in this project were form and relationships. The form was led by human interaction with test

concepts and was inspired by off balance sculptures. I think overall the product emits a shape that makes you want to reach out and twist it. Which was the goal.

SKETCHING - USER INTERFACE WIREFRAMING

I’m a great believer in sketching wireframes and working through interactions in detail before transferring them onto computer and into prototypes. I enjoy creating sketched

prototypes and like getting involved in making process flows from start to finish. Making sure that every button is right and every small detail is in the optimum position. I have a lot of

confidence in my own wireframing and sketching skills and rely on them to help me create efficient solutions.

DIGITAL INTERACTIONS - SWARM {BBC}

Swarm was created for a brief set by the BBC which looked at the way satellite workers could log their working hours and therefore not lose, or gain any pay. Swarm used the idea of

orbit to gain a visual representation of all the people that worked for the BBC. This was a closed group social networking site.

I also developed iphone application versions of the design. SAMUELCROSLAND

DIGITAL INTERACTIONS - T.E SERVICE

T.e was developed according to a brief set by Redgate Software. It had to provide an online service for ordering and paying for beverages and snacks in large office environments.

The service was to update the ‘tea lady’ service but still retain jobs. It also countered the ever popular vending machine offering a chance of social interaction.

WEB BRANDING - LAUREL COTTAGE

This work was done when I was an Intern at Neoco in London. The site was an update to an outdated ‘flash website’. The owner of Laurel Cottage wanted an easier booking sequence,

more interaction for visiters and above all, a better web presence on search engines. The project also provided compatibility for futher expansion.

WEB BRANDING - THE WHODIO

A self initiated project and blog. The Whodio deals with issue of employment in the design industry. The logo and branding was designed to be clean and recognisable but also work

with many different backgrounds and colours. The Whodio will hopefully grow into something more than just a side project.

The Whodio consists so far of a twitter feed and blog page. SAMUELCROSLAND

PUBLICATIONS - SCANS SERIF

I have always been interested and involved with photography. I believe that designers should be involved with every part of the creative industry. To increse my participation in other parts

of design I created this webzine. It uses a different theme each issue and helps me progress my graphic, layout and photography skills.
