I am a young professional looking forward to develop my career in Design for Services.
I am currently studying a masters in that discipline at Dundee University (United Kingdom)
I decided to complete that course because I strongly believe that Design for Services can help Cultural Institutions to becomedrivingforcesforasocialchange, placingthematthe heart of the community. Although I would love working in spreadingtheideaofco-designandco-creationinthefieldofmuseumsandgalleries,inthelast3monthsIdiscoveredotherareasof myinterest, andI thinkIcansaythat Iaminterested in working in almost any project that allows me to use my design thinking skills.
In the past I worked as an interpretive planner and as a curator. I also have experience in devising educational activities and in customer care.
Iamaproactiveperson, actuallysomeofmyworksstartedas own projects. I learn from my experiences and I am keen on updating my knowledge whenever is possible. I am a good team player and I love sharing my knowledge with others.

I devised a temporary travelling exhibition. The show consisted in simple informative boards with texts and pictures. Some atrezzo objects went together with the boards in order to make the display more appealing and didactic. I wrote the contents and designed one of the 13 bilingúal boards as an example. The original size of the panel is A1
Design for Services
Design for Services in Cultural Organisations, an opportunity to change through participation:
As part of the 1st module of the Master in Design for Services, Design Research Methods I conducted a small research using secondary and primary resources.

Pitlochry Jigsaw: The game
This experience forms part of the Creative Care & Support: Pitlochry project, whichaimstoassistthecommunitytodevelopbettersupportfor people who use social services in Pitlochry. The program is run by IRISS in collaboration with PKAVS and Perth and Kinross Council among others.
OurinterventionstartedwithavisittoPitlochry.,wherewespenttwofrenetic days gathering in situ the information that would help us to findouttherealneedsofPitlochry.Backinthestudiowespenttwoweeksanalysingandarrangingtheinformation, localisingproblemsand exploring and testing ideas.
We decided to focus in the following problem:
How to help Older People to Self-Direct the Discovery of Skills within the Diversity of a community; creating a more Cohesive Pit-lochry.
Wedevisedagamifiedsolution. To startwith, wedecided theuseofplayingcards since theyareeverydayobjects, intergenerationaland cheap to produce and replace. Later,We added other itemssuchasbottles, mapsandtemplates.Alltheseobjectsarekeptinabox that is mean to be passed from user to user. The players have

Allofthisevidencesshouldbekeptinsidethebox. Thus, nextuserscan see them. These will be an inspiration source as well as a tool to share people’s stories. Since sharing is a necessary step in the crea-tionofrelationshipsthispartofthegameisvital,speciallywhenrefersto isolated people. It is also essential to enter in other’s world and it facilitates encounters between people that in other way they would not ever speak to each other.
The activities are aimed to discover the own skills. Some of them are individual and others are thought to be deliver in groups or meeting new people. In addition to the probes the players have to complete a profilethatsummarisetheirhobbies, currentskillsandtheabilitiesthat they want to acquire. The game has also a deadline. After that date all the boxes will be back to the organisers and the gathered in-formation will be exhibited and used to generate new activities. This second part will be delivered by a intergenerational team recruited amongtheplayers,beingco-designattheheartoftheprocess.
This project is supported by a large number of cases and a strong theoreticalcorpus. Thus, theideaofevidencingthetaskcomesfromothersocialgamesstudiedasa reference, suchasSanFranciscoZeroandCriticalCityUpload.ItalsoiscloselylinkedtoGaves,Dunneand Pacenti’s Cultural Probes. The order suggested to complete the activities, starting from the self-knowing, sharing, and finallymeet-ing new people. is based in the 5 steps for participation described byNinaSimon inher“TheParticipatoryMuseum”. Inaddition, theconcept is backed up by Social Capital theory and other projects like theHumanLibraries.Thegamificationofoursolutionreflectsalsothelatesttrendsinbusinessmanagementandmarketing,withtheuseoftoolssuchasLego’sSeriousPlay.ItfindssupportintheideasofTimBrown and even in Huzinga’s Homo Ludens.
