ARTGALLERYLocated next to the north entrance for ITESM Cam-pus Monterrey, the gal-lery’s main purpose is to showcase the work of students from the annexed building, where the art school is located. Re-cently opened, this sec-tion of the school is receiving prominent at-tention, with a great lo-cation inside the campus and between the arts and architecture buildings.

The buidling has been de-signed in a way that lets natural daylight in and plays against the walls. Even if there’s no exhi-bition at a moment, the space itself invites re-flexion with its play of lights and shadows.

BRTSTATIONThe city of Monterrey currently faces a strong public transport prob-lem. BRT routes are be-ing proposed to the gov-ernement and some are being implemented. One of the proposed routes passes through the cent-er of the city and heads north. The site chosen for the station connects the metro, located just two blocks south.

CARITAS is a philantropic association that works within Monterrey, Mex-ico. The main headquar-ters of the association are currently in a state of chaos, being made out of add-ons constructed through the years.

The project for their new HQ is to be built in a new location where they can provide enough and adequate space for the people they help. This site is located next to their huge food warehouses, which turned into a challenge when figuring out the place-ment of the buildings. The buildings contain open spaces that are dy-namic in all their uses.

LEVEL 2

The organization needed spaces that could function as offic-es, meeting rooms, and clin-ics. The open spaces, along with their common patio, give a freedom to the site in the way it can be managed. The site contained an old pool which was repurposed as an au-ditorium needed by CARITAS for their monthly events and con-ferences.

The construction gives a warm and welcoming feeling to all its users through patios and light materials.

EXPOMILANO2015International WorkshopCocoa Pavillion Concept

During three weeks, de-signers from all over the world were invited to participate in work-shop where the concepts for EXPO Milano 2015 pa-villions we gonna be de-veloped. Three designers from a designated coun-try would work with six designers from Italy, mostly students from Po-litecnico di Milano. The cocoa pavillion de-veloped from the concept of a forest, focusing on the ground and shades produced organically. The goal was to give the user the experience of walking through this ever changing atmos-phere, light and shade at different angles and heights, that immerses the user.

PROPOSED COVER STRUCTURE

CONCEPT MODEL OF HOW PLAYING WITH THE TOPOGRAPHICAL SURFACE WORKS TO CREATE A FOREST FEELING ALONG WITH A POROUS STRUCTURE FUNCTIONING AS SHADE.

CHILDREN’S PLAYGROUNDCONCEPTThe task at hand was to de-velop a replicable play-ground in underdeveloped neighborhoods around the city. Using the ehtnic tribe of the Huicholes, who reside within the northern-central part of Mexico, as inspiration, the playground devel-ops from wooven wooden frames. The frames are then stacked into levels that generate an ever changing playground.
