Borned in 1980, son of two mechanical engineers, he always felt the need to understand the main function of things.

Finished the highschool in the science field, following his parents steps, however, his heart had been within the arts and design subjects all along. He made an internship in "Schema" where he learned to develop architectural models with one of the most prestigiated masters on that subject in Portugal.

Two years later (2001) he started his own advertisement company (Promohand) with a german partner, where product management and human resourcing was a constant everyday. During this time Joao took the specialized degree of Graphic Design and, in 2010, he was presented with the opportunity to occupy the vacance of Senior Product/Graphic Designer in "DesignKit". As technical and creative designer, Microsoft, Nokia, Reebok, Bial, Xerox, were some of the names represented. Hes been working as a freelancer in the same field since 2011.

In 2012, along with a script writer, he created the webcomics "Nonsense Comics". With a role of art direction/illustration, they started publishing in Portugal, Angola and Brazil on 2014.

Keep updated with the new trends, both technological and design, is a must to him, and be able to think out of the box and make it original are two of his most important directives.

From the sign of piscies, his biggest passion is the sea. Surf and diving are his zen practices.

Considers that travelling is the best way to invest money. New colors, new smells, new sounds, new sights are the terms from which he lives his life.
