Self Introduction
I am a Japanese architect, educated in both Japan and Denmark.
The deepest theme in my architectural practice is seeking
universal and genuine value within spaces,
as based on thelivelihoods of the people that inhabit and
experience them.
In creating this value I look to history, culture and technology,
and gather inspiration from a wide range of existing physical
places.
My school practice often focuses on the integration of historical
understandings within a modern perspective.
Hotel and Lab. New Nordic
This project is for the new Nordic hotel and culinary laboratory on Sejerø, where is famous
for the music festival and good weather, but unnoticeable about good farming. It’s based on
the manifesto translated from the New Nordic Kitchen Manifesto into a design language and
developed into a whole architectural and experiential design. Under this manifesto, like a crea-
ting new Nordic dish, I design this architecture using local materials, thinking about Nordic
seasons and light and coexisting the new and old, Nordic and the world impulse. The layers of
architectural materials of wall make the adjustable interior environment and usages depending
on a season.

International bednights within coastal tourism and city tourism in Denmark
"Although the trend in coastal and nature tourism has been declining in recent
years, it is still the main market for Danish tourism. Denmark's neighbouring
markets exhibit high travel intensity and constant demand for high-quality travel
and holiday products.
...
VisitDenmark's tourist survey from 2011 indicates the high potential that exists
in the target group referred to as "the good life". This target group consists of young
adults and couples without children who go on holiday to enjoy life, experience
natural scenery, cultural amenities, cycle rides, gastronomy etc."

Museum Underground
This is the proposal for new museum located under Sønder Boulevard, using the left over
area of the metro construction.
Now 2014, at many places in Copenhagen, we can see the green walls for the construction
works. In Sønder Boulevard, these are for 2 new lines which open in 2019 and these have
worked since 2011. there is not the site for new station but for their functional shaft spaces
and for emergency staircase.
I re-arranged the usage of space, but remain the feeling of underground and narrow path
using the sky light, and create new museum for installation art.

Title: The Ambience of Deliciousness
-the proposal of housing complex which shares various dining rooms-

The family's table was decided by the rule whose seat cannot be seen. This was decided although
father's seat, my seat, and the name are not necessarily attached. When taking a meal at the place
occasionally different from one's seat, the scenery which is different also in when is in sight. There
is the taste which is a little different also in dinner and when.
Moreover, eating becomes a cause which produces relation with people. Congratulation has
certainly delicious entertainment, and if a meal is delicious, I will feel that it becomes friendly
with those who eat together.
As for this, the thing of a site, the thing of the place about the delicious, the relation between
people and a person, etc. were considered, and this construction was produced.
Choosing a table can lead to choosing the site in the surroundings of it, or it can choose relation
with people and a person.
If there is a mechanism in which exchange with such people and nature takes place in a natural life
style flow, is a pretty scene more produced in everyday life, and can we live happier?

Dondra Chair
Swing yourself back to your childhood.
Inspired by the movement of a classic swing, we focused on making an uncommon moving chair
that allows you to experience one of the simplest of joys from your childhood.
“DONDOLA” comes from “DONDOLO” which is the italian word for “swing”.
The ash wood frame supports a classic wooden swing seat, suspended from polyester ropes. You
are not going to be able to swing in large sweeping arcs, but you can certainly muster a gentle
back and forth motion, similar to a rocking chair.
Mimicking the form of traditional Windsor chair, the back rest, originally composed of wooden
sticks, has been replaced by strings. This provides a flexible surface against ones back, and allows
the user to make enjoyable movements while seated. The strings surrounding the body create a
space within everybody can feel protected and in intimacy with himself.
