Position Overview
The NSW Department of Premier and Cabinet (DPC) is the lead central agency in the NSW Government. Our mission is to enhance the lives of the people of NSW by driving priorities, brokering outcomes and delivering programs and services.
We support the Premier and Deputy Premier, the Cabinet, Ministers and agencies by coordinating policies and services across government. We lead policy development, provide innovative ideas and support Government plans and projects. Working with us will give you a broad overview in areas such as public policy formulation, public administration and state administrative matters and an opportunity to be involved in a range of state-wide policies, issues and projects.
Key purpose
To provide support to the People & Culture function through coordination and administration of human resource activities ensuring quality people support and services are available within the Department of Premier and Cabinet. Undertake key project activities to contribute to the successful delivery and implementation of human resource software integration.
Key accountabilities
Undertake a broad range of clerical and administrative support activities to support the coordination of HR activities.
Assist and support HR projects to facilitate the delivery of quality outcomes ensuring compliance with relevant guidelines and legislation

Support processes and procedures to ensure People & Culture deliver an efficient and responsive service for all stakeholders
Provide support for the implementation of a recruitment software to increase efficiencies throughout the Department
Support the research, development and implementation of key projects.
Essential requirements
Demonstrated experience in administration, customer service and support
Intermediate to advanced level skills in standard office software applications including word, excel spreadsheet, databases, PowerPoint, outlook, intranet and document tracking systems
Knowledge in human resource software implementation
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Strong attention to detail
Knowledge of relevant legislation and the legislative framework, government policies and reforms, and current public sector trends
Tertiary qualifications in human resource management or equivalent relevant experience
