Wars, conflict between nations or even states, which influence the people to fight over the

rich resources and a land, are two of the main factors where the existence of the particular

land and how rich and prosperous resources that in deep concern, it has created one of the

most long-lasting conflict, the Middle East conflict. Struggle over 1,300 years of war, brought

the people of Middle East to opposed their own government because most of the leader in the

Middle East has led the country for more than two decades and by reason of governing for

period of time, it makes a country into an authoritarian state rather than forming a welfare

country.

Cause

Authoritarian state is where the power of a government is greater and it did not focus on the

people where unfortunately, it gives less power to the people. As a result, separatism is the

problem, where there are parties who are not satisfied with what the government has done.

Therefore, there are three causes affecting the Middle East conflict, those complex conflicts

are separatism, lack of democracy and authoritarian state. There are universal principles that

are agreed by the international community but the disputing parties have violated it. Therefore

the international community should concerned on the conflict and try to accommodate the

parties to solve the solution.

Policy

In response of Israel and Palestine, the Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al

Nahyan said, “the international community continues to face significant challenges that

demand collective action in all fields. These challenges include international peace and

security, stabilization of economic recovery, achievement of sustainable development,

combating the negative impact of climate change, responding to natural disasters, countering

terrorism and regional instability, achievement of peace in the Middle East, non-proliferation

of nuclear weapons and disarmament.”

UAE also concerned on peaceful settlement between Palestine and Israel by mediate the

arbitration peaceful settlement, which the UAE wishes to end the conflict since 1970s. Policy

of UAE allows the country to be involved in crisis settlement by sending our army to Kuwait

to protect the local civil people.

Solutions proposed

1. Negotiation between the disputing party and the neutral third party rather than

continuing the long-lasting without any end of fighting between each country where

the negotiation will reach an agreement without anymore controversy, instead of

prioritizing the main goal which is peace.

2. The involvement of Security Council for the benefit of United Arab Emirates and

Middle East in building a peaceful statement as well as security matters to decrease or

even to end disputes, where it leads to war between people.

3. Promote a democracy state rather than an authoritarian state in order to prevent

separatism that caused by the government itself. Furthermore, for the purpose of

people, people shall have their rights as citizen and not to proceed to develop an

authoritarian state that focuses on making government even more powerful, instead

government obliged to give power towards the people.

4. Bring the past leader who committed crime against people and the previous leader

shall be brought and processed by the International Criminal Court.
