Post-Construction Monitoring

Purpose is to understand how the project is improving (or maybe not) any part of the stream system to measure success Actually starts pre-construction! What sampling has already been done? Don’t forget many agencies have done sampling on many

different AMD streams; DEP, TU, SRBC, CD’s, PFBC TMDL

Post-Construction Monitoring Should include chemical grab samples, field measurements,

macroinveribrates, and fish Should include some physical monitoring as well: Flow Temp

Sampling Protocols Protocols need to be followed, most always ICE (DEP’s Instream Comprehensive Evaluation Protocols)
