● It is important that students begin to identify potential future career paths or begin to explore fields of study that they may be interested in learning more about: ○ Students can go to the Career Center and complete a career interest assessment○ Students can also go on www.cacareerzone.org to complete similar activities○ Students can look out for more information from the Career Center on:

■ Targeted career panels■ Career fairs■ Seasonal job recruitment■ College information sessions

Many of these resources, including CA Career Zone, allow students to take an Interest Inventory. These consist of a series of questions related to preferences in the workplace, as well as personal interests.

● PSAT: 9th, 10th, and 11th grade students will take this test on October 10th, 2018

○ Scores for the PSAT do not get sent to colleges, and are meant to help students practice and

prepare for the SAT test

● SAT: 11th grade students will usually take the SAT for the first time during their Spring

semester of Junior year and will take it at least once more during their Senior year

● Once the application process is complete, Hartnell College staff will return to our campus for the new student Orientation
