Facilities Show once again delivered an exceptional experience for FMs and solutions providers, attracting 11,353 attendees, a whopping 18% increase in visitors over the first two days.
Fighting severe flooding in London, which severed transport links to the venue, plus the EU Referendum, Facilities Show still delivered a huge 3000 visitors to exhibitor stands on day three.
Facilities Show was also very pleased to be working exclusively in association with BIFM (The British Institute of Facilities Management), the leading facilities management association, who hosted their Careers Zone once again, which delivered 26 seminars across the three days. Heavily involved within the programme were award winners Tanya Horscroft (Rising Talent in FM), Alan Russell (FM of the year) and McFarlane Telfer (Learning and Career Development). Sessions included ‘Negotiating Skills for a Pay Rise’, ‘FM Qualifications’, ‘Managing Remote Teams’ and more.

Providing their support of the event were also leading TFMs; Mitie, who were Official Show Partner, alongside Sodexo as Gold Partner. Key association to FMs, RICS, also joined as Gold Association partner, joining CIBSE as supporting association and official magazine partner, FMJ.
With networking at the heart of the Facilities Show community, this year saw the audience of 11,000+ meet with service suppliers, as well as discussing common challenges amongst the FM community with their visiting peers. The Facilities Societies Fair created a core new area of this year’s event, where visitors could meet with those organising networking groups for FMs, and #SHE1000, organised jointly with WIFM, provided training in how to network for women in the profession.
This year Facilities Show seminar programmes included more speakers and informative content than ever before with more than 300 suppliers showcasing their products, and over 130 speakers delivering first class, case-study led presentations via three new theatre locations located around the show floor.
A conference style programme, put together in assocation with our advisory board, consisted of the Facilities 2020 Strategy Summit, sponsored by Planon, FM Operational Excellence Arena, sponsored by Stannah and FM in the Real World sponsored by Barbour EFM. Key insight was delivered from companies within FM, aided by real life case studies, including Red Bull, Adobe and more.

WHAT DID OUR EXHIBITORS SAY ABOUT THE EVENT?
Sit.Stand.Com® have been genuinely overwhelmed by both the quality and scale of leads generated at Facilities Show. The event has clearly boosted our Standing Desk Megastore positioning and we immediately booked up for 2017!
Rik Mistry, Business Development SIT-STAND TRADING Ltd
The show itself enabled FSI to catch up with existing contacts as well as to make new ones, and to showcase our Internet of Things (IoT) technology for the FM market. I would say that Facilities Show is the key facilities event in the UK.
Sally Wotton, Marketing Manager FSI (FM Solutions) Limited)
This was a perfect venue for Camfil to highlight the importance of Indoor Air Quality and the significant savings that can be realised by selecting the correct filter. A well organised and attended event.
Mark Taylor, Business Development Manager Camfil
WHAT DID OUR VISITORS SAY ABOUT THE EVENT?
I thought the show was very extensive and varied, while also very informative and left me feeling inspired.
Assistant Director of Estates Canterbury Christchurch
I found the seminars to be a great mix of buildings and the digital workplace.
IT Business Partner KIER
I’m interested in innovation technology in FM. So, with a vast spread of technology this is a must attend for the FM industry and would recommend to colleagues.
Director Al Fajer Facilities Management
I very much enjoyed the event, this is the third year in a row I have visited. I attend in order to keep myself relevant/current; it’s a good way of seeing products before purchasing.
