DID YOU KNOW? Visitor attendance has more than doubled since the first event in 2010.

The capital’s most exciting packaging event returns to Olympia…Packaging Innovations and Luxury Packaging London returned to Olympia this September for another two-day celebration of branded, inspirational and luxury packaging. And what a celebration it was!

The event attracted a record 4,141 attendees, making that seven years of continuous growth! Over 170 leading suppliers were on hand to showcase their latest innovative solutions, as visitors flocked from a wide range of industries to experience first-hand the future of packaging.

With a high proportion of visitors being senior decision makers from leading brands and retailers, the show floor was buzzing as they discussed bespoke solutions, innovative products and future business with suppliers. And business must have been booming, as exhibitors rebooked 83% of space on-site for next year.

Have a look at some of the key facts that made this year’s event such a big success.

“The show has been better than we ever could have expected. There has been such a high calibre of visitor to our stand in terms of what they offer, which has been incredibly exciting. This year

has also been particularly exciting in allowing us to network with other exhibitors to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes. On day one we received over 50 enquiries, and day two has been fantastic too. A great show!”

“The show this year has been extremely good. The footfall has been better than any year we’ve done. It’s been very useful to us, especially with us launching a new brand.”

Phil Marklew, Sales Director, Simply Cartons Ltd

“Looking around it’s clear to see just how fantastic the level of innovation on show is. We have innovative products, high end and high quality offerings; which to me shows the industry to be in great health. One of the greatest challenges the packaging industry faces is turning these ideas into mass-market products. This show is a fantastic shop window into the future of packaging.”

Mark Pawsey, MP and Chair of the All Party Parliamentary Packaging Manufacturing Group

“It’s my first time at the show and it’s really great to get out of the office and see all of the innovation that is available, particularly for the FMCG and retail sectors. I have also just been to one of the talks and it’s pretty cool to be at a show like this and feel inspired by your peers.”

Steve Rowe, Creative Director, Agency Spring

“Great range of products. I’m interested in paper board and this has been well represented at the show, so I’ve had lots to see. What is key for me though, is the networking opportunities at the show.”

Stephen Hughes, Vice President, Lamican Products

“There is a lot of innovation on show. It has been set out really well this year and I’m finding lots of exhibitors that meet my needs and are of interest. We’ve already seen so much and we’re only half way around!”

Tabetha Rudd, Account Manager, Abea

“The show this year has been good; very, very positive. We’re very pleased with the number of people, and more importantly, the quality of contact has been measurably better than last year. We’ve seen more brand owners and end-users, we’ve had direct interest in our sector and what we do. We feel we’ve picked up good contacts, met with our existing customers, and I’ve got a diary of meetings booked to follow up in the coming weeks!”

Frank McAtear, Business Development Manager, DS Smith

“We have had a very good show with orders straight from the stand. We will be back next year for sure.”

Robert Knox, Managing Director, KTEC Group

“It was our busiest and best show in London for a long time. We are very pleased with the event and the opportunity to meet and chat with new customers. In particular the opportunity to discuss current trends and our latest products especially in relation to forthcoming projects many visitors appeared to have.”

Paul Davinson, UK & Export Sales Manager, Winter & Co

“It was great to finally exhibit at Packaging Innovations 2016 and to be part of such a creative and diverse event.”

Alex Higgs, Creative Manager, Think Tank

“The show’s been very good, we’ve had a very good visitor rate, and I think we will come away with a lot of useful leads”

Joe Maynard, Managing Director, Spectra Packaging
