Logging on

1. The HSBC EMIR Delegated Reporting Service Post Trade Portal is accessed via

www.hsbcnet.com

2. You should already have an HSBCnet username and memorable answer (which you set up when

you registered).

If you do not, please register here https://www2.secure.hsbcnet.com/uims/portal/UserRegistration

(When registering please remember to choose Global Markets as your HSBC bank business unit and

Delegated Reporting as your contact).

3. To login choose the red Log on / Register box in the top right hand corner of the page, enter your

username and then select Log on

4. Enter your memorable answer and / or your password if you have one.

5. Select Continue to proceed.

The Post Trade Portal is the first service you see after you log on.

6. Select Go to launch the service.

7. If you do not see the Post Trade Portal as soon as you log on, navigate to the Markets Reporting

tab and access it under the Post Trade Portal link.

8. Some browsers when loading the data or during refresh will display the dialogue script runner. If this

happens select No to continue.

Trade reporting blotter

1. When logged in, the trade reporting blotter opens with All counterparties selected and Trades

requiring attention highlighted.

2. Trades appear under their Product tab (e.g. FX, Equities) with your counterparty data displayed in

the first five columns (see Section 3 Editing your submissions).

3. The Filters (e.g. Ready for Submission, Submitted) in combination with the Product tabs control what

is displayed on the blotter.

Trades requiring attention

1. Action Required – contains trades that are missing data and will need action from you to make the

trade compliant.

2. Ready for Submission – contains trades that have all the required information to be reported to the

Trade Repository.

3. Submission Failed – contains trades that have received an error message from the Trade

Repository informing you that the trade report has not been successfully submitted. Trades in this

category will need action from you to make the trade compliant.

(Trades that have not been successfully submitted to the Trade Repository receive a NACK message –

this is a negative acknowledgement from the Trade Repository that indicates an error in a particular data

field.)

4. Submitted – contains all trades that have been successfully reported including matured trades

(Matured trades can be viewed for a minimum of 28 days).

5. HSBC Pending – contains trades that have received an error message from the Trade Repository

informing you that the trade report has not been successfully submitted. Trades in this category will

need action from HSBC to make the trade compliant.

6. If you have more than one counterparty, select the down arrow to change your view.

Features

The blotter displays all trades contained within a specific asset class. To change the view you can select

another asset class.

7. The view within an asset class can be further refined if you choose the down arrow and select the

product you require.

Trade submission

You can elect to submit trades at any time, however trades that are Ready for Submission will be

automatically submitted at 6pm (UK time) on T+1.

For compliance reasons any trades that are in Action Required or Submission Failed will need their

data corrected before the 6pm deadline. You can choose the cell you wish to change to edit it. Once

corrected, the trade will move to Ready for Submission.

The system allows users to submit trades individually or in multiples.

Submit all trades by selecting the Submit all

Select the Submit all button to submit all trades.

Note:- Performing this action will submit all trades including those that may not be in your current view

Highlight the row by ticking the box on the left hand side

You can either right click on Submit Selected Trade(s) OR choose Submit Selected

Editing your submissions

Within individual trades you can edit the first five data fields (even if the data is pre-populated by HSBC):

Broker ID type (optional field for all EMIR classifications i.e. FC, NFC+ and NFC-)

Broker value (optional field for all EMIR classifications i.e. FC, NFC+ and NFC-)

Beneficiary ID type (mandatory field for all EMIR classifications i.e. FC, NFC+ and NFC-)

Beneficiary value (mandatory field for all EMIR classifications i.e. FC, NFC+ and NFC-)

Tsy / Comm (Mandatory field for NFC+ and NFC-, not applicable to FC’s)

Edits are either in the form of a drop-down menu, or free format text depending on the field you select.

Once you have completed the task you can submit your trade(s).

The first five data fields can be edited in any status i.e. Action Required, Ready for Submission etc.

You are also able to edit these five data values for trades that have already been submitted. This will

generate a warning prompt notifying you that you are about to amend a trade that has already been

submitted.

Disagreeing with a trade

If you disagree with the details of a particular trade, or do not recognise a trade, you can raise a query:

Select the trade, right-click on it and select Disagree Trade

This generates an email template

The recipient and subject fields are pre-populated

Enter the nature of your dispute or query

HSBC will investigate and any remediation required will be performed (this may extend

beyond the T+1 reporting window)

Blotter functionality

Individual Trade details

In addition to the blotter view of all trades, you are able to see individual trade details. Select the trade

you wish to view and double-click on any of the common data fields. This will open a pop-up which

displays the specific details of that trade.

Choose the DTCC Data tab to view the entire message in FpML format which has been sent to the Trade

Repository for this trade.

The Search function

The blotter view also has a Search function in the top left hand corner of the page. Enter your

requirement and the blotter returns results matching that asset class.

Additional features

Within the blotter view, there are additional features:

1. Refresh – Shows you the last time your view was updated. Select refresh to update your view.

2. Show Cancelled Trades – This button shows a view of any trades that have been cancelled. Trades

are viewable here for 3 days. (Note: this functionality is currently only available for Rates & Credit

trades)

3. Submit Selected Trades – Select this option to submit individual trade(s) that you have highlighted

in the blotter

4. Disagree Trade - Select this option if you wish to disagree with individual trade(s) that you have

highlighted in the blotter

5. Export – Select this option to download the blotter view into Excel. Multiple asset classes will need

to be downloaded individually.

Personalise your view

Within the blotter view, there is additional functionality which allows you to personalise your view.

(Note: this functionality will only apply during your current session - it will not persist as your default view

in future sessions).

1. Sort –Select any header row to sort data in ascending or descending order

2. Move columns – Click and drag on a particular column header to move its position within your user

view

3. Size columns – Click and drag the header column dividers to increase or reduce the width of

columns

Personalise your view

Viewing your trade valuations

If you have elected for HSBC to report daily trade valuations on your behalf, you can view these by

selecting the Valuations tab on the home page.

Editing your trade valuation

If you wish to edit valuations which have been applied to your trades:

1. Select the Export button.

2. An Excel spreadsheet appears wherein you can edit the five valuation fields

3. Email the updated spreadsheet to:

[email protected]

4. HSBC updates the Trade Repository with your edits.

(Note: any trade valuation edits you perform are not be updated or published in your Portal view).

Logging out

When you wish to Log out a notification window appears with a prompt asking if there are still trades

requiring any action from you. Please verify if you have any missing data before you log out.

For optimal performance of the Post Trade Portal we recommend you use Chrome 28, Firefox 20 and

Internet Explorer 9 (or later versions). Earlier versions of Internet Explorer are also compatible, but may

result in some reduced performance.
