Todd Blair- SS
EAGLES PROVE THEY CAN PICK IT DEFENSIVELY The 2011 Post University Baseball squad broke the school record for fielding
percentage as they finished the year defensively at a .969 clip, smashing the
previous record set back in 1995. It was also good enough for 2nd
best all time in
the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC). Since Coach McNamara has
taken over the program, the Eagles have been devoted to playing defense as
each year they have steadily climbed the CACC in fielding percentage. In 2007,
they fielded at a .941 clip, good enough for 5th best in the CACC, in 2008, they
fielded at .947, good enough for 3rd
best. In 2009, they led the conference with a
.956 fielding percentage and in 2010, finished 2nd
with a .957 fielding
percentage.

PRIDE & TRADITION Welcome to Post University and its Division II
Baseball family. We welcome you to join in our
history and tradition as we look to continue
moving the Program in a positive direction. Over
the course of the past five years, we have
reshaped and remodeled our Program into one
that is dedicated to assisting within the
community, performing in the classroom and
winning on the diamond. This past year,
graduated senior Sean Jarrett won the Male
Scholar-Athlete of the year for the second
consecutive year. Rising senior Phil Sirois was
awarded with the Lamoy Award, which is given
to the student-athlete who is devoted to
academic success as well as community
involvement. It was the second consecutive year
that a member of the Baseball Program received
this prestigious honor. We work diligently to
instill a sense of honor and respect in each of
our student-athletes which we know will carry
them throughout their lives.
A Message from Coach McNamara This fall will represent the start of the my 6th year here at
Post University and it is amazing to see the development
of the Program since I began in the fall of 2006. I can
remember my first team meeting and looking out and seeing
the blank faces of a group of brave young man who were
dealing with their forth Head Coach in three years and to see
how unsure and skeptical they were of hearing my plan
for them.. We have rapidly brought this Program to the brink
of its first-ever CACC Championship title. We followed up
our 2nd place finish in 2010 with another courageous run
only to fall short and finish 3rd in 2011. Although distraught,
our 3rd place finish during the regular season was the highest
the Eagles have ever finished. Over the past three seasons,
the Eagles have an overall record of 74-58 and have begun
to place themselves as one of the top programs in the
Northeast region as they have been ranked for several ranks
each of the past three seasons.
We look forward to moving this Program towards its goal of
winning a CACC Championship and to continue to graduate
outstanding young men into the world. Thanks for following
us and Go Eagles!
Sincerely,
AJ McNamara
HEY THERE! My name is Dan Luisi and was a 3-year captain for the
Eagles and a four year starter at 2nd
Base. I currently hold the All-
Time record for career hits with 193, career runs scored with 115,
At-Bats with 638 and walks with 92. I graduated with a degree in
Business Administration in 2010 and upon graduating; I went to
work for my father at “No Let Up”, a non-for-profit organization
located in New York City. I also currently coach high school
football and will be rejoining the Eagles on their staff in 2011 as an
Assistant Coach. GO EAGLES!
CORBETT, BARRY, LOCASCIO ALL NAMED FIRST TEAM ALL-CACC
For the first time in the history of the Program, the Eagles had three players
named 1st Team All-CACC. Senior 3rd Baseman Brendan Barry received his second
consecutive honor having been unanimously selected in both 2010 and 2011. Junior RHP
Steven Corbett and junior 1st Baseman Travis Locascio also received the honor after capping
off fantastic seasons. Barry ended up hitting .336 with 8 doubles, 16 RBIs and 23 runs
scored. Corbett had an equally sensational season as the newcomer finished 6-2 on the hill
with an astounding 1.77 ERA in 71 innings pitched. His ERA was good enough to be top 10
nationally. Corbett also threw an astounding five complete game shutouts including a 10-
inning shutout against conference champion Dominican College. Locascio capped off a solid
third season in the program hitting .292 with 6 doubles, 2 triples, 2 homeruns with 26 RBIs
and 16 runs scored. Locascio now sits tied for 3rd all-time in triples with 9 for his career but
more excitedly, Travis is only 25 RBI’s away from breaking the all-time record currently held
by Josh Payne ‘01. Let’s all wish Travis the best of luck in his “drive for 25”.

25’s DRIVE FOR 25
Observers and Alums will begin to see a new name enter some
of the record book lists this upcoming year as rising Senior 1st Baseman
Travis Locascio is slowly starting to etch his name into Eagles’ history.
The biggest push that all are hoping Locascio succeeds in is his chase to
break the All-Time RBI record, currently held by Josh Payne ’01 with 96.
Travis currently sits at 72 for his career and ironically needs the same
amount of RBI’s as his jersey number to break the record, 25. Locascio
began his career in 2009 and because of an arm injury to 3rd Baseman
Corey Huffine, Travis was thrust into the starting lineup immediately and
began to prove his current and future worth right from the start.
Although he would hit a modest .262 that year, he started his career off
right knocking in 14 RBI’s as a freshman. His second season saw that
number increase to a whopping 32 RBI’s which currently places him in
the Top 15 in a single season and was tops in 2010. This past season,
Travis knocked in 26 RBI’s, second to only Ralph Dieguez for the team
lead. If history is any indication and Locascio is able to stay healthy, he
should be able to break the prestigious record and set the new bar,
possibly in the triple digits. Let’s all wish Travis the very best of luck in
his pursuit of history.
NINE EAGLES FINISH THEIR CAREERS OFF
Nine Eagles finished off what proved to be the most successful
class in the history of the program. Some were four year players and
some stayed for less time but however long they spent donning the green
and white uniforms, they proved that this program is not only a pushover
anymore but will continue to be a perennial contender in the Northeast
region for years to come. The above pictures are a list of seniors who
finished out their eligibility this past season. Some of the highlights of this
class Senior 1st Baseman Travis Locascio included RHP Dan Steers being
named 2nd Team All-CACC in 2010 after posing 8 wins. 3rd Baseman
Brendan Barry was named 1st Team All-CACC in both 2010 and 2011.
RHP Tom Sirois was twice named to the All-Tournament team after
posting shutouts in both playoff runs. Ralph Dieguez was named
Honorable Mention during the 2011 season and Sean Jarrett wrapped up
his four year career driving home the tying run with two outs in the
bottom of the 9th during a playoff game with Chestnut Hill College. I
sincerely wish each of them all the very best of luck as they will always be
a special part of our close-knit family. – Coach Mac
