    Suggested PLE-based Model

    Steps to implement suggested Model

    Step 1: Instructionaldesign

Step 2: Preparation Step 3: Using PLEs for carryingout daily learning process

    Step 4:datagathering and

    Synthesizing

Procedure:1-Defining a set ofteaching and learningtasks, activities, games, assessment methods, and assignments thatstimulate students touse technology in theirlearning process andapply technologycapabilities tocommunicate, share, create, and organizeinformation.

    2- Designing acooperation model.

3-Designing a tools-selecting framework andselecting a set of webtools that can supportthe defined tasks in part1.

Responsible: teachers, research team, and agroup of students.

Procedure:1-Introducing andteaching the selectedweb tools to teachers.

    2-Introdcing samePLE experiences toteachers andstudents.

3- Introducing theproject to studentsand explainexpectations ofstudents.

4-Technology-usingEtiquette willexplained forstudents and signedby each student. (Ifthere is not such adocument, itsnecessary to define itby school managers.)

Procedure:1-Teacher defines a promoting-technology daily agenda and postsit on course blog. This agendaincludes guidance, learningactivities, useful links, andassignments that students mustdo them.

2- Each student by using theintroduced web tools and basedon the daily agenda creates hisPLE, practices digital literacy, doing assignments, searches theweb for related information, creates report, communicate withother students, share his findings, make contact to outside experts, receive and send feedbacks, helpsother students to create theirsPLE, validates gatheredinformation, and collects andorganizes information.

    3- Teacher monitors student

activities, gives them feedback, evaluate theirs PLEs, encouragethem to communicate, share, andorganize information, helps themto find outside experts.

To evaluate theproject andsynthesize itsresult, the followingmethods will beused to gatherinformation:

Survey: beforeand after eachphase of project.

    Directobservation ofstudentsactivities byresearcher.

    Using tools likeGoogle analytics.

    Interviewswithteachers andstudents.
