amacs – professional management system for thekeeping of broilers and broiler breeders

amacs is a modern management system for broiler finishing and breeder manage-ment. Modern network technology allows the farm manger to monitor and control all processes in the house no matter from which location – also via internet, smart-phone or tablet PC.

amacs is:✔ suited for small and large houses;✔ designed as a modular system and to be adapted ideally to the conditions on site;✔ expandable at any time.

The house-customised visualisation of all data in the form of graphs and the trans-mission of live pictures directly from the house are further advantages. The per-formance range of amacs also includes alarm messages via e-mail, mobile phone, smartphone or tablet PC.

Network technology and modern communication technologiesamacs controls and monitors all houses on the farm. Depending on the different requirements, several functional areas – climate, feeding, water, light, bird weighing – can be monitored and

controlled. Via remote access by means of the internet, it is also possible to access farms that are situated in different places from one central location. Or do you need our help? No problem: Our

amacs specialists can log-on to your FarmController via remote access and are thus able to provide fast help in case of trouble.

Use of FarmTerminals for multiple useThe FarmTerminal (max. 20 PCs or laptops) provides access to amacs from different locations on the same farm.

Based on the licence installed, up to 50 users with individual profiles can be created. This also allows tracking of all

actions carried out on the farm system. The standard version includes two user profiles.

Functional area Climate with customised house illustration

amacs determines the ventilation require-ments in your house. All ventilation systems – from natural to cross and tunnel venti-lation – including cooling and heating can be controlled.

Furthermore, sensors for noxious gases, for example for CO2 or NH3, can be connected. These sensors allow the control of minimum ventilation as required. This ensures optimum climate conditions in the house. If the Earny heat exchanger is installed, amacs calculates its efficiency. You are thus provided with a quick overview of cost savings for heating.

Functional area Production – feeding

Broilersamacs allows you to analyse the feed consumption per bird and per day. The feed intake can be controlled automati-cally or manually by means of the freely programmable feeding manager. The feed consumption can be determined by means of a continuous weigher, pulse scale or silo weighing and the resulting feed/water ratio can be measured and displayed continually. If a continuous weigher or a weighed day silo are used, eight different feed curves from 26 feed types can be set for the whole production cycle. Energy content as well as the ingredients of the selected feed mixture can be displayed. The feed lines are controlled by sensors. An alarm is issued in case of malfunctions.

The functional area Production comprises the entire feeding management including silo weighing and feed logging. Also part of the functional area Production are light

control, water consumption and water alarms as well as livestock management.

Broiler breedersIf feed valves are used, amacs allows for target-oriented feed proportioning. It is possible to control up to 48 targets per house with up to four cross augers. Each target (feed reservoir, hopper, etc.) can be assigned to a bird group. It is therefore possible to register the feed consumption of up to twelve bird groups per house and thus determine the feed portions based on the birds‘ age.amacs is also able to control a low-maintenance batch scale. Since the feed lines can be filled while they are suspended, there is no need for a large hopper. The feed lines can be lowered separately for males and females.

Analysis and graphical illustration of all house and production dataComprehensive data collection for opti-mum production results! amacs collects many different types of data that can easily and quickly be analysed at the PC, no matter whether it concerns feed conversion, mortality, bird weighing, operating hours, amacs-controlled drive units or the entire climate control. All data can be analysed in tabular or graphical form. It can also be displayed and freely combined on the screen in forms of curves via mouseclick (drag & drop).

Log Graphical display climate

Alarm and message log – on the safe side thanks to amacs

Power failures, deviations in regard to temperature, water and feed consumption as well as minimum feed levels in the silo are important reasons for an alarm. With amacs you are always on the safe side as all alarms can also be transferred to the mobile phone by means of e-mail services. The amacs alarm option does, however, not replace the self-sustaining alarm system that is required in any case!

Thanks to a chronological message history, failures can be recognised and tracked more easily. Event filters allow for the selection of certain alarms, for example in case of production problems or climate alarms. The message log doubles as a farm operation log.

Optimum water supply is very important for high growth rates. Water consumption is recorded by means of electronic water meters in each house and measured in litres total or in ml/day/bird. The water consumption can be controlled by means of a time clock or the water meter and can be turned off in case of an alarm.

The correct lighting program has a decisive influence on the birds‘ behaviour and feed conversion. Any desired lighting program can be realised with the help of freely programmable timers, a dimmer function and a sunrise/sunset simulation. An active (actual) light control can be established by means of a light sensor.

Functional area Production – water supply and light control

The clearly structured production planner is a great tool for setting the switch times for the feeding, water and light time clocks depending on the birds‘ age in a graph. Well-proven settings can be saved thanks to a memory function and used for other houses. This enables you to plan and tabularly or graphically display the whole batch at once.

Insufficient water supply is immediately communicated. A red symbol indicates the location where the water level is not met.

Network camera for direct image transmission from the house

Farm-based analysis with BD Copy

A network camera suitable for in-house use allows the transmission of live pictures directly from the house to the FarmController via Ethernet or directly to

the office PC. You can therefore keep track of the processes in the house, also visually.

BD Copy is a program for database conversion developed by Big Dutchman which allows an easy import of your amacs data into all standard Microsoft Office applications such as Excel or Access and the creation of your own analyses or diagrams. Furthermore it is

possible to activate an automatic download of farm data at a pre-set time.Big Dutchman will be happy to assist you in creating house- or farm-based analyses based on your requirements (optional).

FarmPower Manager – a unique tool for energy consumption monitoring

FarmPower Manager is a new software for monitoring of the entire energy consumption on the farm. This includes a price rate-based analysis of costs as well as forecasts for the future consumption of energy.Recording and displaying energy con-sumption details on the farm is the most important prerequisite for saving energy in the long run. To be able to analyse possible savings potentials and to avoid

expensive power peaks, you have to know how much energy individual processes such as feeding consume. The software does not only register the individual consumption but connects it to other data, such as breed, quantity and age of the birds. This also allows for a comparison of consumption data per bird or per house. It is also possible to register and include the calculated weather data from internet services, data of climate

sensors or energy generated by wind, solar or biogas plants by means of additionally installed energy meters.A generator can produce additional energy once certain previously set consumption limit values have been reached. A profitability analysis on the basis of consumption helps the farm manager to plan future investments.
