The Nebraska State Fair General Livestock Information, Rules and Regulations and Health Requirements apply to this division as well as those specific rules listed below. Please refer to all rules.

Exhibitors, or their agents, will not be permitted to converse with judge during competition or while awards are being made, or their entire entry will be disqualified.

The exhibition is held under the rules of the American Poultry Association and the American Bantam Association and will be judged according to their standards.

* The basis for judging will be as follows:

A. Old Male (over one year old) B. Old Female (over one year old) C. Young Male (under one year old) D. Young Female (under one year old)

* Substitutions will be allowed in the same Division, Breed and Class. No other substitutions will be allowed. * All classes will be scored through 5th place for the benefit of breeders and the general public. * No birds shall be handled except by the Superintendent, Superintendent’s assistants, judges, owners or owner’s representatives approved by the Superintendent. The utmost care will be used in handling all birds, but the management will not be responsible for loss through fire, theft, accident or any other medium.

Handling and selling birds will not be tolerated without the knowledge of the Show Superintendent. THIS RULE WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED.

DISQUALIFICATION: The right is reserved to disqualify all unworthy specimens. Each specimen must be the bona fide property of the exhibitor and shown in its natural condition. Birds showing symptoms of disease, when received or during the Fair, will immediately be returned to the owner and the entry fee forfeited.

All out of state poultry exhibited needs to be accompanied by a CVI (Certificate of Veterinary Inspection) or 9-3 and be from U.S. Pullorum-Typhoid clean or equivalent flocks, or have a negative pullorum-typhoid test within ninety (90) days of the fair.
