HISTORY OF DEVELOPMENT

ETS Group was formed in the course of reforming “RAO “Unified Energy Systems of Russia”, OJSC based on ambitious and highly qualified personnel of Gorky Branch of Research, Design and Survey Institute “Energosetproekt” founded in 1962. The Group’s first line of business was design of power transmission lines and power substations of high and ultrahigh voltage, elaboration of power systems’ development plans for the European part of Russia, Ural and Siberia. In proportion to the development of new competencies, new companies were formed within ETS Group specializing in related types of services. It resulted in the promptness of decision making and closeness to the client with a considerable expansion of scope of works done and increase in the scale of business.

Later, such lines of business were formed as inspection of construction structures, expert examination of industrial safety of buildings and constructions, engineering services in the field of construction of power facilities including highly dangerous, unique and technically complex facilities.

The lines of cogeneration, information and analytic services, and consulting in power engineering are actively developing. Such lines of business as land and cadastral works, heat and gas supply, aerial photography and making orthophoto plans are successfully developed. A great scope of works is done in the field of R&D under orders of governments of regions and relevant ministries of the Russian Federation.
