OverviewPowerdrive DX self-drilling screws are specifically designed for use of fastening onto steel structural mem-bers of thickness between 1.0mm to 5.0mm. The DX drillpoint is devised to achieve an efficientbalance of speedy drilling whilepreserving dependable fasteningstrength once installed.

OverviewPowerdrive RX self-drilling screws have a special reduced-diameter point that ensures the hole drilled is smaller than the diameterof the threads. The idea isto produce a tighter fit for better waterproofing and holding strength.

RX drillpoint advantage With the reduced-diameter point, when the thread turns into the smaller hole of the profile sheet, they ex-trude material around the hole and helps enforce a tighter fastening. Having drilled through overlapping sheets, the thread pulls the sheets together, assuring a gapless stitched joint (see Image A).

Ordinary screws (e.g. standard self-tapping), not having a proper drill point, are unable to stitch unsup-ported sheets and instead cause the unsupported male rib to deform (see Image B), thus creating gaps that allow rainwater to enter.
