CASE STUDY (SOLAR PV)

• Family Mosaic looked to implement a regeneration programme

• The energy saving project is the second phase of a regeneration project begun when the estates were taken over by Family Mosaic in 1999, when improvement works were carried out to bring all homes to a ‘Decent Homes’ standard

• As part of that regeneration 700kW of PV were installed

CASE STUDY (BATTERY STORAGE)

• Peterborough County Council programme of nine schools and three commercial units installed over a period of 4 months.

• Due to no more capacity within the existing UK Power Networks infrastructure storage was the only solution available

• Over all sites storage was provided at an overall capacity of 2.5mW

• Through use of state of the art controls, use of electricity can then be managed and not exported to the grid unless authorised

CASE STUDY (INFRARED HEATING)

• Working through delivery partners Mears, Langley Eco installed Infrared radiators as part of Thurrock’s Transforming Homes program for a trial to reduce damp and mould.

• Identify ways to remove/prevent damp from a property • Provide energy saving in comparison to the existing

Gas, ECO 7 Storage heaters • Thurrock provided a vacant 2 bedroom property for the

trial where existing storage heaters were removed and replaced with Infrared radiators.

• After two weeks the damp had been reduced by 15% and by 44% after the full four weeks. A 60% reduction in heating costs were seen vs. traditional heating.

CASE STUDY (NANOTECH INSULATION)

• A single terraced Victorian property has been provided by Livin Housing Group to test the thermal efficiencies of the Langley Eco Resin product at 2mm thickness

• Easy installation • After four weeks the differential between the property

and its neighbour was 6 degrees • Brickwork and mortar are now shielded against wind

driven rain • Carbon footprint has been reduced
