Automated Surface Inspection
PowerINSPECT builds on the toolpath programming and simulation technology from Delcams award-winning CAM software solutions. Inspection strategies provide easy automated inspection of free form surfaces. User-defined strategies allow additional points to be measured anywhere.
Benefits:
Fast, easy programming for complex shapesAvoids collisionsProduces an even distribution of measured pointsUser-defined strategies provide additional flexibility
Probe Path Programming
Pre-programmed inspection routines for common geometric shapes allow fast application of best-practice probing techniques to measurement sequences. User-defined and teach-and-learn strategies provide flexibility and ease of use. The Probe Path Editor function provides easy editing of probe paths and the flexibility to change between different measurement strategies.
Benefits:
Fast, easy programming of prismatic shapesTeach-and-learn provides greater flexibilityEasy conversion between teach-and-learn and automated probe pathsEasy conversion between touch trigger and scanning methods
Best Practice Probing Methods
Advanced Touch Trigger methods for probe path generation including automatic generation of helical probe paths and backing off from surfaces along the probe axis. Continuous contact scanning of geometric and free-form features utilising scanning probes such as the SP25. Continuous contact multi-axis scanning using the movements of the machine and probe head. Probe/Stylus change racks allow fully automated inspection of complex components. Full I++ capability enabling connections to a number of different Co-ordinate Measuring Machines and access to server specific operations.
Benefits:
Flexibility of probe path generation Rapid collection of point dataEfficient probe path generation for non-geometric surfacesEasy access to I++ server and controller functionality
Simulation
Machine simulation and collision detection simplify and quicken the programming of inspection sequences. Users can develop inspection routines offline, with complete confidence that they will run safely on the measuring machine.
Benefits:
Simplify programmingSave machine timeOptimise machine utilisation
A Single Solution
PowerINSPECT can be used with all types of measuring devices including all major makes of co-ordinate measuring machine.
PowerINSPECT can be used with portable measuring equipment such as arms and optical systems, including those with laser scanning capabilities.
Also use PowerINSPECT to measure directly on a machine tool fitted with a probing system.
Benefits:
Boosts flexibilityMinimises training costsProvides consistent results
Simple Graphical User Interface
The simple Graphical User Interface allows fast, easy, interactive programming.
Interactive picking of features from the CAD model allows easy programming of inspection features.
Realistic graphics improves visualisation and simplifies reporting.
Benefits:
User-friendly interface minimises training timeQuick and easy-to-use, even for occasional users
CAD
Market-leading CAD compatibility allows comparison of components and tooling against all mainstream CAD file types including standard industry formats such as IGES, STEP and STL files.
The CAD file manager allows the creation of assemblies from different formats, and user definable levels help with unfinished components and visualisation.
Benefits:
Easy inspection of complex components and assembliesUtilise customer and supplier dataEasily visualise graphical inspection reports
Reporting
PowerINSPECT allows fast, easy creation of reports that can be understood at a glance.
Produce simple reports with a single click, or build more sophisticated reports combiningimages and text.
Benefits:
Easy report creationSingle click to export pictorial viewsFull text reports built automaticallyQuick and easy to understand reports
