Our aim is to provide a platform for our local artists to showcase their finest calligraphy and paintings artworks; whilst, bringing a different type of celebratory event for the audiences. In addition, NACC hopes to propel and promote a more vibrant cultural scene in Singapore. This annual exhibition is one of NACC’s major events of the year. Each year, NACC will invite our renowned local artists to participate in this exhibition. Garnering the crème of the crop from both the Chinese and Western arts, such as traditional Chinese calligraphy, Chinese paintings, watercolour, oil painting, woodcarving etc, and audience will be stupefied by the finesse of the works from these outstanding and passionate artists.

To cultivate the younger generation’s interest in traditional Chinese calligraphy art and encourage them to pursue the art form, NACC had organised the Students’ Calligraphy Competition 2013 in early July. We have received overwhelming participation from 235 students across 53 primary, secondary and tertiary educational institutions islandwide. The 18 winning calligraphy works will be exhibited along with other established artists, bringing new hope to the future art scene. Herein, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to all participating artists for their passion in creating such superb works to showcase to the public. At the same time, I would like to thank the audience for their support. Lastly, I wish our nation a happy and prosperous 48th National Day.
