ARKRAY has been contributing to standardization of HbA1c for many years and demonstrated a major presence in Japan's medical testing industry.

Span Diagnostics is a major manufacturer of diagnostic pharmaceuticals and they manufacture and sell reagents for point-of-care testing for infections and for the biochemistry field.
ARKRAY Co. Ltd., Inc., our 3rd business and sales base in Southeast Asia, was established in the Republic of the Philippines, allowing us to put in place the optimal product supply and service organization for that region. Sales commenced from May 2014, centering on diabetes testing devices and exclusive reagents.
A business transfer contract was concluded with Span Diagnostics Ltd., a clinical testing reagent manufacturer in India. By expanding the reagents such as for infectious disease that Span Diagnostics offers, we will be able to further advance our business both inside India and in other emerging markets as well.
HA-8180V was introduced into the laboratory in the King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital, one of the most authoritative hospitals in Thailand, and HA-8180 series products are being employed in the laboratories of many other hospitals throughout this region as well.
An HbA1c seminar was cosponsored with a local sales distributor in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.(Sales promotion for ARKRAY equipment is performed through scientific activities that convey the importance of HbA1c measurement. Such activities also serve to favorably increase the introduction of our HbA1c measuring devices in Vietnam.)

ARKRAY is the leading manufacturer of SMBG devices for the LTC (long-term care) market.
We were named Supplier of the Year for 2012 in the over-the-counter category by Walmart, the world’s largest retailer, as the manufacturer of their private-label SMBG systems.
Over 500 sets of urinalysis devices are currently in operation in the U.S.
We have exhibited at the American Association of Diabetes Educators (AADE) meeting and supported the American Diabetes Association’s (ADA) Tour De Cure.

Russia, CIS, Middle East and Africa are covered by ARKRAY Europe, B.V.’s wide sales network of over 50 companies. We also perform service and scientific training, etc. in order to contribute to raising the level of the medical industry in those areas.
We have held a European Scientific Advisory Board meeting, as an independent sponsor of that Board, toward cooperating in the standardization of HbA1c and contributing to improving the quality of life for diabetic patients.
SMBG meters and test strips are currently being manufactured and sold in Russia at local factory established in the Dubna Special Economic Zone near Moscow. The production of SMBG systems started from July 2013.
Donated GLOCOCARD products to children with type I diabetes in Rwanda, Africa through collaboration with a charity group called Team Type 1 Foundation (USA).This is one way we are promoting support for less-privileged countries that are unable to offer sufficient SMBG systems even for those who show symptoms of type I diabetes.

The Great East Japan Earthquake
Establishing an emergency headquarters and offering support from the very day that
the Great East Japan Earthquake struck on March 11, 2011, ARKRAY focused on long-
term support activities and built a system to that end. Not limited to life-support
activities, we are also continuously involved in medical support activities that are truly
needed based on regional information, the actions of government and industry
groups nationwide, and the activities of other companies, etc.
