Appendix

• The University of Arizona estimates the all-inclusive cost of a semester during the 2012/2013 school year for a resident student living in U of A housing at $12,372 (totals derived by dividing in half the estimated cost for the whole school year). For the Spring 2013 semester in Orvieto, the all-things-considered cost is estimated at $15,980. A semester in Orvieto, therefore, amounts to $3608 more than a semester in Tucson. Consider that the cost of a vacation to Italy for a week or two could easily eclipse that amount and that the additional cost secures a semester-length experience of a lifetime in Italy.

• Students paying out of state tuition would actually save money by studying in Orvieto, because study abroad tuition is the same for all students!
