Migration will not be automatic – owners must take action

Some areas “ready for service” now, however embargo for disconnection of lift and fire emergency phones to 30 June 2017 for registered services (phone lines)

From 1st July 2017, “business as usual” managed disconnection process will commence

Register Lift (and Fire) emergency telephone lines with NBN’s “Fire & Lift Register” to take advantage of the deferred disconnection period.

Check when NBN will be “ready for service” in your area (NBN website)

Disconnection 18 months after “ready for service” unless registered.

Actions….

Take early action - contact lift service provider or engage consultants to determine appropriate course of action.

Budget and plan an installation date for the new lift emergency communication system
