History

OSC was set up in 2003 as a closedcompany wholly owned by theGovernment of Oman to add value inOman’s LNG value chain and economy

1st ship acquired “Lakshmi”’ (now SoharLNG’) with Mitsui OSK Lines, Ltd inJanuary, 2002.

In April 2004, OSC acquired its secondvessel ”Muscat LNG”.

Another 4 LNG vessels were acquired inthe following two years.

Ministry of Finance 80%The Ministry of Finance executes and monitorsfinancial policies of the state. It also acts as anadministrative apparatus of all revenues and expensesand ensures all financial targets are met.

Oman Oil Company S.A.O.C 20%Established in 1992, Oman Oil Company (OOC) is acommercial company fully owned by the governmentof the Sultanate of Oman. The aim of the company is toprovide the government with a medium to pursueinvestment opportunities in the energy sector as wellas outside the Sultanate of Oman.
