He grew up in a wealthy family, but struggled with his health.

He was a frontiersmen that drove cattle and hunted.

He served in the Spanish-American War as a Lieutenant in the Rough Rider Regiment.

He ordered the construction of the Panama Canal.

Won the Nobel Peace Prize by ending the Russo-Japanese War.
