HGC Tool
A. Straighten cable and
position cable cutter in valley
of corrugation and cut off the
cable square.
B. Use strip/prep tool to strip
and cut cable.
A. Rotate clockwise until cable
hits fi xed stop on tool. Remove
cable from tool.
B. Properly stripped and cut
cable is ready for dielectric
removal.

Step #4
A. Align outer conductor to back cap. Mark cable jacket with marker in line with end of the connector.
B. Push connector onto cable until it reaches mark (you
should hear a series of clicks). Be sure connector reaches mark
on cable.

C. When fully compressed, connector cap will completely cover o-ring
A. Pull or push back the insert to allow connector/cable to lay fl at in frame.
B. Make sure connector is fully seated in frameset (lying fl at). Press tool trigger to compress the connector. Do not push on tool/cable during compression.
D. Use the right torque wrench for the interface to connect the port or mating connector.

tool to remove any dielectric on
center conductor
A. Core cable to remove
dielectric until cable reaches
stop on tool.
