MAFIC INTRUSIVE: Dark grey-green; strongly carbonated

throughout; speckled appearance due to calcite as

disseminated specks, calcite also occurs as abundant

narrow stringers ( 1 mm) at 55 0 to C/A; occasional

quartz stringers ( 5 mm) in lower section at 45"- 60"

to C/A; disseminated Pyrite throughout (1-3 ^), a"s

well as rare patches of Pyrrhotite ( 1 7.); lower 6"

is bleached to a creamy green colour and contains

several narrow ( 1 cm) quartz veinlets and "2-3 7.

Pyrite. :

QUARTZ VEIN SYSTEM: Entire section is 707. quartz and

307o altered mafic intrusive , as follows:

16. 2 1 - 19.7' Snow white quartz vein local patches and

streaks of pyrrhotite, tourmaline and rare chalco

pyrite.

19.7' - 30.0' 607o quartz and 407o highly altered mafic

intrusive; local green, mica; patches and streaks of

pyrrhotite throughout; there is an increasing amountof pyrite, also as patches and streaks, as depth

increases.

MAFIC INTRUSIVE: Dark grey-green; strongly carbonated

below 42.0 feet with calcite occurring as dissemination;

and as narrow ( 1nm) stringers and gash fillings at

variable orientations.

Section from 30.0' to 42.0' contains scattered

silicicified zones up to 1.5' in thickness. Narrow

bands of quartz and carbonate occur throughout at

75 0 - 80 0 to C/A. There is a 4 cm auartz vein at

35.0', marking the top of a 1.5 ft silicified zone

(207. quartz); pyrite occurs throughout section.
