Shane SwiftShane is an American painter; who looks as if he tattoo’s but he doesn’t. We’ve spoke a few times and he’s a great guy too.

His work is everything I’d want mine to be if I could choose how It is I make art but I can’t get to even near this. It’s a lot harder than it looks to use black this well and this clean.

SCUMBOYScumboy is a big inspiration to me in that I see parts of my own work in this and he started out much doing work like I do now, so it’s almost like a place I can see myself getting too. Hopefully

TOOTHTAKERA two time convict and now full time artist TOOTHTAKER has a crazy stye, it’s super bold; clean and colourful. It’s a kin to where I want my illustrations to start going. I want to get crazy with colour. Keep things weird but clean.

ETERNOI’ve spoke about Eterno before, it’s the underlying messages In his tattoos that make me enjoy them so much and even though they’re on other people the tattoos always seem socially topical to what’s happen in the world or town around him.

I don’t just look at tattoo artist I go visit them, a lot actually. I tend to go to shops with artists that I respect to ask their opinion on my work and where I’m going wrong and what I can do better. I found the best thing to do is actually get tattoo’d I gives me 1-6hours with an artist I respect to pick their brain and ask questions without taking up their time for no reason.

I try to go to as many tattoo conventions as I can afford in a year. The latest I’ve been to is Liverpool the other day. It’s great to meet up with people and artists I’ve chatted too online and meet new ones. Show off some work and I just very much feel in my comfort zone. Also there’s loads of freebies so I come back with mountains of business cards and stickers.
