Dear friends and colleagues,

On behalf of the Minnesota Society of CPAs and its members, welcome to the 25th Annual MNCPA Management & Business Advisers Conference – aka MBAC19.

ere’s no denying it: e world is changing at a rapid pace. We’re inundated with information from every direction and disruption is the new normal. It can be hard to cut through the noise to keep our jobs, our businesses – even our personal lives – uncluttered and well-organized.

at’s where MBAC19 comes in. We’re here to earn CPE, yes, but also to hone crucial leadership and technical skills while connecting with our peers. We’re here to not only focus on today, but also to become future-ready for tomorrow.

While you’re here with us, I encourage you to make the most of MBAC19 and take advantage of these opportunities:

• Expand your networkYou’re one of about 900 CFOs, controllers, nancial managers, internal auditors and business advisers who are here today, and there are plenty of opportunities to make new connections. Strike up conversations during the refreshment breaks sponsored by Robert Half, during lunch, and at the happy hour sponsored by Salo and SharePoint Credit Union.

• Smile and say cheese!Whether your headshot needs updating or you simply don’t have one, Friday is your lucky day. Stop by the headshot photo booth on the lower level to have a free professional photo taken.

• Discover new resourcesVisit with numerous exhibitors to learn about the products and services they have to oer. With tomorrow always on the horizon, who knows what needs your company or rm may have in the future? Remember to ask them to mark your BINGO card for a chance to win a prize.

• Freebies and giveawaysTake the time to chat with exhibitors and enter their drawings. And, remember to turn in your door prize ticket for a chance to win one of several excellent prizes, such as a Google Home and theater tickets. Members, make sure to stop by the MNCPA booth on the lower level to pick up your member gi before they’re gone.

Make preparing for the future an experience to remember with top-notch educational sessions and networking opportunities. MBAC19 has something for everyone, and I’m glad you’re here to take part. Enjoy the conference!

Randy Zats, CPA, MBAConference Planning Task Force Chair
