1725 – 1800 : Punched cards

Thee punched card predates com.................................................................................puters considerably. As early as 1725 Basile Bouchon used perforated paper loop in a loom................................................................................. to establish the

patteern to be reproduced on cloth, and in 1726 hisco-worker Jean-Baptiste Falcon im.................................................................................proved on his design by using perforated paper

cards atteached to one another, which m.................................................................................ade it easier to quickly change the program.................................................................................

1846 : Punched tape Punched tape consistsof a long strip of paper in which

holes are punched to store data. Thee earliest form.................................................................................s of punched tape com.................................................................................e from................................................................................. weaving

loom.................................................................................s and em.................................................................................broidery, where cards with sim.................................................................................ple instructions about a m.................................................................................achine's intended m.................................................................................ovem.................................................................................ents were firrst fed individually as instructions, then controlled by instruction cards, and later were fed as a string of connected cards.

1932 : Magnetic drum

Thee m.................................................................................agnetic drum................................................................................. was invented by G. Taushek in 1932 in Austria on the basis of a principle discovered by Pfleeum.................................................................................er.

Taushek put a ferrom.................................................................................agnetic layer on the outside of a m.................................................................................etal drum.................................................................................. Read and write heads were m.................................................................................ounted at a distance of som.................................................................................e

m.................................................................................icrom.................................................................................eters that produced an electro m.................................................................................agnetic pulse. Theis pulse could be stored by changing the m.................................................................................agnetic orientation of the ferro

m.................................................................................agnetic particle the write head passed over at that very m.................................................................................om.................................................................................ent. Theus binary values of 0 or 1 are recorded by generating electric

pulses while the drum................................................................................. is rotating. Thee m.................................................................................agnetic fireld of som.................................................................................e of the particles suspended are polarized along a track.

1946: Selectron tubes

Thee selectron is based on isolated sm.................................................................................all cells, called eyelets, able to rem.................................................................................ain stable in two states: electrically charged and

discharged.

1950 : Magnetic Tapes

Magnetic tape is a m.................................................................................edium................................................................................. for m.................................................................................agnetic recording, m.................................................................................ade of a thin m.................................................................................agnetizable coating on a long, narrow strip of plastic firlm.................................................................................

It was developed in Germ.................................................................................any, based on m.................................................................................agnetic wire recording. Devices that record and play back audio and video using m.................................................................................agnetic tape are tape recorders and video tape recorders.

1953 : Hard dick drive’s

A hard disk is a non-volatile storage device where digital data is stored. Hard disks were invented in the 1950s. Theey started as large disks up to

20 inches in diam.................................................................................eter holding just a few m.................................................................................egabytes. Theey were originally called "firDed disks" or "Winchesters". A hard disk drive consists of a m.................................................................................otor, spindle, platteers, read/write heads, actuator, fram.................................................................................e, air firlter, and electronics.

1969 : Floppy disk

Is half or data storage m.................................................................................edium................................................................................. consists of a circular piece of m.................................................................................agnetic m.................................................................................aterial enclosed in thin fleeDible plastic cover square or rectangular.

1970 : Compact cassette

Thee Com.................................................................................pact Cassettee form.................................................................................at initially offeered fairly poor firdelity and was m.................................................................................arketed for voice recording and dictation. Technology im.................................................................................proved quickly, and advances in noise reduction technology, its ability to play stereo tapes, and new tape form.................................................................................ulations soon assured high-quality sound from................................................................................. the com.................................................................................pact form.................................................................................at. Here we present the m.................................................................................ilestones in Com.................................................................................pact Cassettee developm.................................................................................ent.

1978-1995 : Compact disk And dvd’s

Thee Com.................................................................................pact Disc, or CD for short, is an optical disc used to store digital data. It was originally developed to store and play back sound recordings only, but the form.................................................................................at was later adapted for storage of data (CD-ROM), write-once audio and data storage (CD-R), rewritable m.................................................................................edia (CD-RW), Video Com.................................................................................pact Discs (VCD), Super Video Com.................................................................................pact Discs (SVCD), PhotoCD, PictureCD, CD-i, and Enhanced CD.

2008-2009 – FLASH MEMORY

A USB memory is a storage device that uses flash memory to store the information you may require.

Conclusion

This project was created with the purpose of defining some of the storage devices throughout history and place them in the corresponding year of creation.

Was quite difficult to find information on each device adequate that each page had written something different, but I think we have found the information more correct.
