Background A study was conducted to address the concerns
of the diocesan leaders of the decline of Catholic school enrollment, and why Catholic Hispanics were not enrolling into Catholic Schools.
Concern raised pointed to the fact that while Hispanic presence continues to grow and demand for more resources, to help in closing the achievement gap is critical, diocesan school support, resources and personnel are not available to Hispanic communities.

• As a result to the study a strategic plan was proposed for implementation.

• Two data sets were selected for the purpose of this study. public school and Catholic school parents.

Goal One Cultural Proficiency A Catholic school
that is culturally proficient with the specific needs of the Hispanic community will bring participation in the life of the school.

have a tradition of providing academic excellence. We want to maintain that reputation and consistently improve in all areas of academics and instruction.

Goal Three School Outreach Develop a
program to support Hispanic parents/guardians as primary educators of their child(ren).
Analyze of the needs of the Hispanic community.
Develop programs such as ESL, GED, and workshops to support parents in students educational needs.
Provide educational opportunities for the Hispanic communities for betterment of society.

Goal four Catholic School MarketingThrough a coordinated effort of both (Arch)diocesan and local marketing, drawn upon the marketing and enrollment expertise of stakeholders at both levels, schools can benefit from access to new families and donor sources. This must truly be a collaborative effort that emerges from a widely disseminated understanding of enrollment and demographic data, predicated upon a common promotion of Catholic education, as a concept, throughout the (Arch)diocese.
Improve Catholic school enrollment and retention rates by identifying and sharing best marketing practices
Develop and coordinate strategic marketing plans for individual schools
Establish systems whereby parishes share in the provision of spiritual resources and, as able, financial support for families who cannot afford to enroll their children
