“Over the last few years, after having children and shopping the stores for my two

little boys, I discovered how few modern pieces were available for kids. I wanted to

offer parents such as myself, an opportunity to purchase clothing that was modern,

contemporary and more unique than what I was finding in the stores. This sparked

the birth of Saurette”.

“There is a lot of attention to detail that makes the line

unique. I’ve always loved ribbon trims, hand embroidery, beading

and specialty appliqués, and have translated all of that into this

collection for girls.”

“I hope parents will enjoy it as much as I’ve enjoyed creating it”.

This line is inspired by women’s runway and contemporary design,

and is best defined as petite versions of mom. Simply put, Fashionable clothing for

kids with unique style.

Lisa Kanouse, Creative Director-Saurette

After 18 years in the fashion industry, I

launched my own contemporary collection of

children’s apparel, Saurette, in Spring 2009.

“I started my career in fashion as a Photo

Stylist for the Chicago Tribune & Marshall

Fields, moved on to buying at Montgomery

Wards & eventually found Product

Development where I stayed for over 10 years

creating & producing women’s collections for

Saks Off 5th, Macy’s & May Company. These

were wonderful experiences where I was able

to gain a broad range of knowledge of the

retail business”.

•Beginning with Spring 2010 our sizing has been expanded & we are going towards

a more European fit (slimmer) to offer better fits for our target clientele

•(our prior Spring 2009 & Fall 2009 fits were based on industry standards published by

ASTM. We have found this to be much too generous of a fit for our brand).

Spring 2010 Sizing: Wovens: 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6 - 7 - 8 - 10 - 12

Knits/Sweaters: XS (2-3) -- S(4/5) -- M(6/7) -- L (8) -- 10 – 12
