Course information:

Beginner

Advanced I

Advanced II

TCP (Trinon Collegium Practicum) and Trinon Titanium GmbH organize since 5 years practical implantological courses. 23 courses have taken place in Cuba since 2003. More than 17.000 Q-Implants were placed by attendees during this period. Since 2005 the courses have been organised in Dominican Republic because of high demand. Also there the participants placed 4.000 Q-Implants. The surgeons from Asia inserted in Cambodia and Laos more than 4.000 Q-Implants since 2004.

This one-week course gives the opportunity to collect practical experience in implantology as well as pre-implantological treatments and extreme cases in implantology under the supervison of highly skilled sur-geons.

Three levels are offered, the final assignment will be decided by the medical supervisors of the course:

Requirements to attendees:

Basic knowledge in oral surgery (practical experience in dental Implantology is not required)

Basic theoretical knowledge in dental implantology

Min. two years experience in general dental practice

Course contents:

The participants of this group will receive the basic practical experience in implantology by placing of im-plants (30 implants in Cuba and Dominican Republic; 22 implants in Cambodia and Laos) as main sur-geon under the supervision of the teacher and participation at about 60 operations (assistance to other col-leagues from the group). The attendees will receive the introduction in the basics of pre-implantological bone augmentation and reconstruction. They can also take part in the trainings for prosthetic treatment.

Requirements to attendees:

Basic surgical knowledge

Practical experience with at least 50 implants

Min one year experience in oral surgeryorparticipation in Q-Implant Marathon in the group Beginner

Course contents:

The participants of this group will increase their practical experience by learning different implantation techniques and insertion of the implants in difficult cases. The participants of this group will also make the following operations:

- sinus-lifts as the main surgeons and assistances by sinus-lift

- cases with bone augmentation

- management of the complications

Requirements to attendees:

Practical experience with at least 200 implantsMin. two years in oral surgeryor participation in Q-Implant Marathon in the group Advanced I

Course contents:

The participants of this group will increase their practical experiences in the treatment of extreme implantological cases. They will also participate in the operations of big sinus-lifts with autologious bone and learn the techniques of taking bone extra-oral and onlay plastic and titanium mesh application.

General requirements:The participants of all groups should provide the following documents:- copy of dentistry license- curriculum vitae with description of practical skills and post-graduated education and trainings in English language- medical certificate (attestation, that there are no infection diseases as hepatitis A, B, HIV)- copy of the passport (should be valid at least 6 months from the end of the course)The final decision for participation in the groups Advanced I – Advanced II will be made by medical su-pervisors of the group. The local authorities will NOT make EXCEPTIONS and without these docu-ments the participants will not be able to sign on for the course.
