Faklis Library Director Library Board Meetings The Library Board meets on the second Thursday of each month at 7:30 p.m. VETERANS DAY SALUTE Our Veterans day Salute is dedicated to the 60th Anniversary of the Korean War. On June 25, 1950 the Korean Conflict began—later to be classified as the Korean War. Fifteen other countries joined the United States in sending their soldiers to assist South Korea in their war against the North. The event will begin at the Veterans Memorial on State Road and Melvina Avenue. The public, dignitaries, Reavis Band members and others will gather at the site at 10:45 a.m. in preparation for the 11 a.m. moment of silence and the playing of “Taps” which will honor our country’s fallen heroes. Immediately following, the full program will commence which will salute the men and women veterans as well as those currently serving in the military. The Reavis High School Band members will play the National Anthem in addition to other patriotic music. When the first phase of the program is completed, all participants are invited to go to the Prairie Trails Public Library District located at State Road and Moody Avenue (1 block east of the Veterans Memorial ) where coffee, punch and cake will be served. A gift will be given to the first 150 program attendees at the library. Then sit back and enjoy the live renditions of Afterglow. This combo will present a special Veterans Day music program at the library for your listening and/or dancing pleasure. THIS EVET IS FREE AD FOR ALL AGES. VETERANS DAY

SALUTE Our Veterans day Salute is dedicated to the 60th Anniversary of the Korean War. On June 25, 1950 the Korean Conflict began—later to be classified as the Korean War. Start Leaning a New Language Today!

The library is pleased to announce the addition of Byki® Online Library Edition, a powerful new online language-learning system designed specifically for use by the patrons of to our web resources.
