Insurance, Healthcare, Retail, Digital Channels etc.

Projects

Future Pharmacy 1 month

This client has one of the largest networks of retail pharmacy stores in US. The aim of this project was to improve a

store manager’s knowledge and insights of the current store workload and in-store customer using mobile platform

and to assist a managers doing their routine tasks without having to use the workstation installed inside the store.

Usertools Workflow Assessment Toolkt 1 month

UWAT platform was developed so that business can create maintain and keep an audit trail of User Tools used by

them in their day to day operations. Our client, a banking institution based out of US, had a major security concern

over the lack of control over the User Tools and thus this project was done to close the security hole.

Risk Assessment 1.5 month

The objective of this project is to design and develop an “IT Risk Profiling and Prioritization” system that aims at

automating the production of tech-owned, Product and Business owned issues “Scorecards”. These Scorecards will

be required to do the in-point IT risk analysis and they can be explored down further using the drill-down options. A

Scorecard is a meaningful grouping Risk Issues with Product on X-axis and Control Names along the Y-axis. This

color coded scorecard gives a clear snapshot of the risk profile across different LOB’s and products.

This client has its operations across many different countries serving multiple products from its portfolio. Hence it is

vital for its leadership to get the precise information and to identify and mitigate the concerned areas as fast as

possible. Target of BI Development was to provide a business intelligence platform for client executives which would

give them a comprehensive overlook of Company and its operation across different zones.

Classroom Assistance system for Instructors Jul’11 – Arp’12

Guide: Professor Pradeep Yammiyavar

Aim is to create a system which would provide professors with assistance performing tasks like classroom

attendance and management of course evaluation and assignments.

System will use automatic identification technology for taking attendance and a network based application

allowing to upload lecture notes and assignments for student access and record of student’s performance and

attendance in a particular course

DudE-Interactive Installation in a Retail Environment Jan-Apr 2011

This project emerged out of the need that customers require assistance with shopping clothes and accessories

but are often too embarrassed to ask for it

The system automatically recognizes the apparel customer put over it using a fiducial tag and displays various

suggestions to the customer automatically.

Interactive Whiteboard Jan-Apr 2011

To develop an interactive teaching system to provide a platform creating interactive learning environment at

schools in India.

After doing my research in this area, I decided to make a massive size touchscreen using a projector.

The screen behaves like a touch screen capable of recognizing up to 5 touch actions.

Created and simulated the working prototype demonstrating the touchscreen.

Achievements and Extra-Curricular Activities

Event organizer, Lan-Gaming Tournament, in both Alcheringa (cultural festival) and Technchie (technical

festival).

Learned basic development skills for Andriod platform in summer of 2011, with a working To Do list, Notepad
