Sanctuary Lamp In Memory of John Wasko

In Loving Memory

Please keep the family of Alice Arnold in your prayers, as she passed away on August 13, 2019.

Eternal rest grant unto her O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

Sanctuary Lamp Memorials The sanctuary lamp over the tabernacle is sponsored each week either in memory of, or for the living intentions of the loved ones of our parishioners. If you would like to sponsor a week, please contact the parish office. Several weeks are still open for 2019 and 2020. The suggested donation is $10.

The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults

Sacred Heart warmly welcomes those seeking to learn more about the Catholic Church! We provide education and spiritual formation through a dynamic video series and weekly guest presenters in a casual small group setting.

Have you or someone you know expressed an interest in becoming Catholic?

Are you an adult, teen or young adult who has not been baptized?

Were you baptized Catholic as a child but have not received any other sacraments?

Were you baptized in another religion but now desire to become a Roman Catholic?

Are you already Catholic, but feel like you'd like to know more about the faith?

If any of these situations sound like you or someone you know, please contact the parish office at 815-625-1134 or [email protected] to learn more about joining our RCIA program which starts this Fall.

Religious Education Registration

It’s that time of year again! Religious Education classes will begin September 15th, 2019.

We warmly welcome you to join A Family of Faith, our new Family Catechesis Religious Ed program! We are excited to begin this faith journey with you. Our new RE format will meet in the parish basement twice a month after the Sunday 10:00am Mass.

Registration for children in grades K - 5 will be held after all Masses the weekend of August 31 & September 1st.

Please contact Melinda Hutchison with any questions at [email protected].

Dishes From Funeral Dinners We have moved the dishes left over from funeral dinners to the storage bin near the main floor restroom, where the St. Vincent de Paul donations used to go. There are several there from recent funerals, please check to see if one of them is yours!

That Man Is You Men’s Group

That Man is You (TMIY) is our men’s group that meets weekly at Sacred Heart. This is a national program that we began 2 years ago. The theme for this year is “Revelation of the Father”. Taking a hard look at the realities of our modern culture, Revelation of the Father seeks to transform men in their relationship with their children & grandchildren. It sets forth the vision of a child capable of making moral decisions in light of significant pressure and integrates the 7 Steps with Don Bosco’s preventive method to help parents develop a “parenting plan of life.”

TMIY meets on Thursday mornings at 6:00am - 7:30am and includes a light breakfast. The new session begins Thursday, September 12th, 2019.

Please contact Kevin Nestor with any questions: 815-499-8002 or [email protected]
