DAILY PRAYERSDaily, the monks of Pullahari (Nepal) and Kagyu Thekchen Ling (India) monasteries share the merits of their prayers with benefactors and all sentient beings. The daily prayers are open for sponsorships. The offerings received are utilized for the welfare and education of the monks.
THE BENEFIT OF PRAYERSThe purpose of having Prayers done for yourself or someone else is to avert and clear obstacles that prevent worldly personal contentment and spiritual progress. Generally there are three kinds of obstacles: worldly ones affecting our daily lives due to problems in relationships, business, etc.; inner ones affecting our emotional states, physical and mental health; and secret ones affecting our spiritual progress. Prayers bless and pacify the mind of the dying and can guide the deceased’s consciousness to higher states of rebirth and even liberation.

JAMPAL TSEN JO PRAYER(Skt. Manjushri-Nama-Samgiti)Chanting this litany of names of Manjushri taught by the Lord Buddha establishes auspicious conditions for now and for the enlightenment in the future. Wisdom and compassion arise quickly. The power of memory and right view increase. Excellent samadhi and omniscient liberation will be quickly attained.
MAHAKALA PRAYERThe 2-armed Bernakchen and the 6-armed Chagdrukpa are enlightened wisdom protectors whose activities subdue and dispel strong negativities and obstacles affecting outer worldly life and inner spiritual progress.
GREEN TARA PRAYERGreen Tara is swift and effective in blessings. Dispelling obstacles, negativities and fear, Tara is supplicated to daily for fulfilment of one’s wishes for worldly or spiritual accomplishment and fulfilment.
BUDDHA AMITABHA PRAYERThrough the aspiration and wisdom of the Buddha of Boundless Light, beings, especially those with faith, are guided to rebirth in Dewachen, the pure realm of immaculate happiness, joy and bliss. Rebirth there occurs spontaneously at the time of death, or in a future lifetime. All beings born there will accomplish perfect enlightenment.
AMITAYUS PRAYERAmitayus is the Buddha of Longevity and the Tse-Do prayer is commonly recited for the blessings for a long and healthy life.
GURU RINPOCHE PRAYERAs the embodiment of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, Guru Rinpoche’s blessings are effective in this dark age in order to dispel all kinds of obstacles affecting individuals, nations and the world. Supplicating to Guru Rinpoche with faith and devotion invokes his boundless blessings. The prayers dispel obstacles and quickly fulfil one’s virtuous wishes.
RI WO SANG CHO PRAYERThis prayer of offering to beings in the six realms is a swift, skillful and effective way to accumulate merit, to clear obstacles caused by disease and spirits, and to purify negativities committed through the breaking of vows and through harmful actions committed against others.
WHITE TARA PRAYEREndowed with seven wisdom eyes, White Tara looks upon beings in all realms of existence with clear wisdom and compassion. She especially benefits in extending the life force, healing and bestowing good health and wisdom.
MEDICINE BUDDHA PRAYERThe Buddha of Healing vowed to help the sick and dying. This prayer averts and clears obstacles related to sickness and diseases, and can lead to recovery from ill health, surgeries etc. The dying and the deceased are protected from rebirth in lower states. Moreover beings in lower states are more swiftly liberated and can attain a fortunate rebirth.
