Praying for a Daughter of God

Heavenly Father, thank you for creating this wonderful world. Thank you for creating beauty around us. Thank you for creating all the multitude of stars in the sky. Thank you giving us eyes to see and ears to hear so that we can see the beauty and sing about it. Thank you Lord. And thank you for the scripture to base my prayer for your daughter who loves you so much:

I will receive you, and will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty. (2 Corinthians 6:17-18)

Yes, Lord, Lindsey is indeed your daughter. She knows this and has taken this truth to heart before the world around her. I pray that you would be with her this day, just as a loving father longs to be with his daughter. Remind her how much you love her today. Let her feel your presence around her wherever she goes. And we will give you the glory Lord. All the glory is yours. I pray this in the name and authority of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen

Always Content

Good Morning Heavenly Father. Thank you for another new day. Thank you for letting us start anew each day regardless of what transpired the prior day. Thank you for being with us from the moment we wake. And thank you for

watching over us while we sleep. It is comforting to know that you are always with us. Always. And thank you for the scripture to use for my prayer for your gifted daughter Lindsey:

Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. (Philippians 4:11-12)

Lord, I ask that you provide Lindsey with a feeling of contentment this day. Help her to be content in whatever circumstances she finds herself in today, whether in abundance or suffering need. And in this I also ask that you continue to be her provider this day. As a loving Father, you know what she needs today. Thank you for being her provider, day after day. And we will give you the glory Lord. All the glory goes to you. I pray this in the name and with the authority of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen.

A Good Adviser

Heavenly Father – today I thank you for uniqueness! Yes, just looking around at your creation it seems obvious that you highly value uniqueness. When you created dogs, you didn’t create just one kind, but hundreds. When you created birds, you didn’t create just one kind, but thousands. More than ten thousand kinds of butterflies and more than a hundred thousand kinds of flowers! And though each person is created in your image, all the billions of people are each unique, with their own special gifts and talents and each is highly valued. Thank you for caring for us so much Lord. And thank you for the scripture from 2 Chronicles chapter 24 to use in my prayer for your talented daughter, Lindsey:

And Joash did that which was right in the sight of the Lord all the days of Jehoiada the priest. (2 Chronicles 24:2)

Now after the death of Jehoiada came the princes of Judah, and made obeisance to the king. Then the king hearkened unto them. And they left the house of the Lord God of their fathers, and served groves and idols: and wrath came upon Judah and Jerusalem for this their trespass. (2 Chronicles 24:17-18)

Lord, today I pray a big prayer for the daughter you love. I pray that you surround her with good advisers. Scriptures show us how important a good adviser is. While Jehoida was advising Joash he did what was right in the sight of the Lord. But after Jehoida died, the king was persuaded to listen to his princes and left the Lord to worship idols instead. Lord, I pray that you would provide Lindsey with godly advisers. Give her great discernment to determine which advice to pay heed to. Lord, be their guide this day, this month, this coming year. And we will give you the glory. All the glory is yours Lord. Glory! I pray this in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen.

God Loves You!

Hello heavenly Father! Here I am again, totally grateful for all your gracious gifts. You are with me wherever I go. You watch over me throughout the day as well as while I sleep. You know my name and know exactly what I need.

Thank you for being my provider and protector! And thank you for the scripture to use for my prayer for your loving daughter where Jesus confirms that God loves her:

For the Father himself loveth you, because ye have loved me, and have believed that I came out from God. (John 16:27)

Lord, it is amazing but true. Because Lindsey has publicly declared that she is striving to draw near to Jesus, he has confirmed that you love her! I pray that you would let Lindsey experience your love this very day. When she least expects it, shower your love on her in a way that she knows it is you. And we will give you the glory. You Are Greatly Loved, So No Need to

Fear Anything!

Hello again Lord. It’s me preparing a prayer to pray during the day for your daughter who you love greatly. Thank you for prompting me to pray for her and I do so with great joy. I start this day with joy, knowing that it is a new day and that I may rejoice in it! Thank you Lord. And thank you for providing the scripture to use for today’s prayer for Lindsey:

And said, O man greatly beloved, fear not: peace be unto thee, be strong, yea, be strong. And when he had spoken unto me, I was strengthened, and said, Let my lord speak; for thou hast strengthened me. (Daniel 10:19)

Lord, this scripture reminds Lindsey that you don’t just love her, but that she is GREATLY loved by you. And since you love her, she need not be afraid of anything. Lord, strengthen her with your love! Remind her that she may not have the strength to complete the task you set before her … but that YOU do! You will be with her and together you will complete that task! Remind her that she need not be afraid since you are right there with her every step of the way. Let her glow as she walks with you completing the tasks set before her. Yes! And we will give you the glory Lord. All the glory we give to you! Glory! I pray this in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen.

Do What Is Right

Thank you Lord for another glorious day. Today I especially thank you for my good health. I can hear and appreciate the music that is playing. Thank you for my breath, for my life. I choose to walk with you this day Lord.

Beauty in the Night Sky

Heavenly Father … this day I ponder the glory of the heavens, the majestic beauty of the night sky. When you created the stars, you did not create just enough that the sky looked pretty. You did not stop with merely a couple hundred stars, nor a couple thousand stars. Even a million stars was not enough. You created billions … and all this for us as part of your creation that we have before our very eyes. Thank you Lord. Thank you for caring for us so much that you would create such a vast universe for us to see – both with our eyes and with our telescopes. Thank you! And thank you for the scripture that goes with this for me to use in my prayer this day for your artistic daughter:

Lift up your eyes on high, and behold who hath created these things, that bringeth out their host by number: he calleth them all by names by the greatness of his might, for that he is strong in power; not one faileth (Isaiah 40:26)

Who Encourages the Encouragers?

Heavenly Father, hello again! I come before you today on behalf of your gifted daughter. But first I must thank you for being her provider and her protector. Thank you for being her guide and for watching over her both day and night.

Thank you Lord. And thank you for providing the scripture to use for my prayer for Lindsey this day:

Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith; Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching; Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness. (Romans 12:6-8)

Lord, I am so proud of your daughter. You have bestowed on her the gift of music and the ability to perform well. And it seems that she is not merely entertaining her audience. Rather she is inspiring them and encouraging them. She is a role model for many young women today. Both her music and her life is uplifting to those around her. One of her many gifts is to encourage others and she is using that gift well. However, Lord, she in turn needs encouragement. And so I pray that you would let her path intersect with people who will encourage her. Open her ears to hear words of encouragement spoken over her. Lord, let my prayers be an encouragement to her. Help me to encourage the encourager! And we will give you the glory. All the glory we give to you Lord. All the glory is yours. I ask this in the name and authority of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Where Are the Nine? Be the One!

Good Morning Heavenly Father. Thank you for allowing me to walk with you another day. Thank you for my breath and for my life. Thank you for being my protector and my provider. Thank you Lord. And thank you for this multifaceted scripture to form the basis of my prayer for Lindsey, your daughter you delight in:

And it came to pass, as he went to Jerusalem, that he passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee. And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off: And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us. And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed. And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God, And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan. And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine? There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger. And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole. (Luke 17:11-19)

Lord it is with joy that I take time now to lift up the daughter you love. And this scripture seems to bring forth two kinds of prayers. And so this day I am praying two big prayers for Lindsey. First, I pray that you clearly show her the way you would have her go this day. And give her the courage to quickly go that way, just as all ten lepers did. They were not healed at first, but they all did begin going to the priests and only after they had gone part of the way were they healed. I pray that as Lindsey walks with you, that along the way you would give her tangible results… results that make her smile… results that put joy into her heart. And then I pray that she would be like the one who comes back to give all the glory to you Lord. As she accomplishes great things, I pray that she always will turn to give you the glory. Help her maintain a thankful heart Lord. Let thankfulness be a natural part of every hour of every day. And we will turn to you Lord to give you the glory. We will give you all the glory. All the glory is yours Lord. I pray this in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen.

Don’t Be Fearful!

Hello Father … right now I am thankful for hot and cold running water. Help me to not take for granted such things as not everyone is as fortunate as I am. Thank you for loving me. Thank you Lord. And thank you for showing me

And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith? (Mark 4:40)

Lord, it’s me again. I am persistent in coming to you each day to lift up Lindsey and pray both big and small prayers for her. Today I pray that you increase her faith so that she need not be fearful. If a feeling of fear comes over her, I pray that you show her a better way. If she is ever afraid, strengthen her faith so that she remembers that she can totally rely on you Lord. Totally! You love her and so she can confidently walk with you without fear. Is it Not Even You?

Heavenly Father come fill my mind. When there is chaos around me, come fill my mind. Thank you for never leaving me. Thank you for being here with me. Thank you for calming my mind when I ask. Thank you for loving me. And thank you for the joyful scripture to base this day's prayer for your daughter, Lindsey.

For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Are not even ye in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming? (1 Thessalonians 2:19)

Lord, here I am again. I come before you with confidence this day to raise up your daughter Lindsey. For is it not her? Is it not her that is our hope, our joy and our crown of rejoicing? Yes, as she walks with you, Lord, Lindsey is that joy. I ask that you fill her with even more of the joy of the Lord this day. Let her glow as she remains in your presence! God Uses Ordinary People to Do

Extraordinary Things

Heavenly Father – Good Morning! Thank you for my breath. Thank you for the fresh clean air that I am breathing. Thank you Lord. And thank you for showing me the scripture to use while I write out my daily prayer for your gifted daughter:

The words of Amos, who was among the herdmen of Tekoa, which he saw concerning Israel in the days of Uzziah king of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam the son of Joash king of Israel, two years before the earthquake. (Amos 1:1)

Then answered Amos, and said to Amaziah, I was no prophet, neither was I a prophet’s son; but I was an herdman, and a gatherer of sycomore fruit: And the Lord took me as I followed the flock, and the Lord said unto me, Go, prophesy unto my people Israel. (Amos 7:14-15)

Lord, I come before you today, just an ordinary man, but confidently coming to meet with you to support and pray for Lindsey. She loves you Lord and she strives each and every day to walk with you. Today I ask that you would remind her how you enjoy taking plain ordinary people and then using them in extraordinary ways. Amos is a good example of this. He was just a common sheepherder who also gathered fruit from sycamore trees. His father was not a prophet, yet God chose him to prophesy to Israel. Now, Lord, I see the many gifts and talents you have given Lindsey and I ask that you open doors for her where she can share her artistic abilities and glorify you at the same time. Yes, we give you the glory, Lord. In the midst of everything Lindsey does, she glorifies you. All the glory is yours Lord. I pray this in the name and authority of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen.

Watch and Wait – God Will Hear You

It’s a wonderful new day Lord. Thank you for waking me up this morning to see what you have for me today. Thank you for always protecting and providing for me; thank you for being my guide today as you always are. Show me the way you would have me go, let me see it clearly, and then give me the courage to actually walk it! And I will walk it, with this printed prayer in my pocket :) Yes, this is my prayer for today for your attentive daughter:

Therefore I will look unto the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me. (Micah 7:7)

Here I am Lord … standing before you on behalf of Lindsey, your daughter! It is with great joy that I draw your attention to her. She patiently watches for you Lord. She confidently waits for you. And she knows in her head and in her heart that you will indeed hear her. Listen to her prayers this day Lord. As she looks to you, let her see your answer. As she waits, let her hear your reply. Good!

Hello Heavenly Father! Thank you for watching over my family yesterday. I know you will watch over us today as well. Thank you for always being with us and never leaving us. Thank you for being our guide, for lighting a path for us to follow. Thank you Lord. And thank you for highlighting this scripture for me so that I would use it as a basis for today’s prayer for your daughter Lindsey:

The Lord is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him. (Nahum 1:7)

Yes, it’s me here before your throne. I am here again to lift up your talented daughter who puts all her trust in you. I ask that you care for her in good times as well as days of trouble. (A) Christ is Ascended Far Above All

Heavens

Heavenly Father, it is wonderful that today my prayers for your daughter Lindsey can center around you Lord, center around your many facets, so many that I will strive to highlight one for each of the letters of our alphabet in the coming days, beginning today with the letter A. Thank you for revealing so much about yourself to us through you Word. Thank you for all the scribes who painstakingly and meticulously copied manuscripts of your Word as well as the many who carefully translated the Hebrew and Greek into English so that we can read and understand it ourselves today. Thank you Lord! And thank you for the scripture to begin with … the scripture that reminds us that Christ has ascended!

But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ. Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men. (Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth? He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.) (Ephesians 4:7-10)

Lord, today I come before you to begin several weeks of prayers for Lindsey by acknowledging bits and pieces of who you are! You are awesome and amazing. We thank you for sending your son Jesus to earth to atone for our sins. And today my prayer of praise is that Jesus died for our sins, was raised from the dead and then forty days later was ascended up into heaven! Thank you Lord! Let us pause to praise you for this. And now we give you the glory. All the glory is yours Lord. All the glory is yours. I pray this in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings, who sits on the right hand of God. Amen.

Heavenly Father, good morning! Thank you for another day with you. Thank you for another day praising you in my prayers for your daughter Lindsey. Thank you for letting us see the many aspects of God through your Word.

He will turn again, he will have compassion upon us; he will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea. (Micah 7:19)

(E) Jesus is Emmanuel

Good Morning Heavenly Father. Today I am happy to say Merry Christmas to people I meet as I remember to celebrate the birth of Jesus, of Emmanuel, and remember that indeed God is with us! Thank you for sending your Son to remove the guilt of our sin knowing that He would need to die to reconcile us with you! Thus this is more than a happy birthday wish to Jesus. This is an on my knees thank you for coming to save us Jesus! And today for the letter E we acknowledge his coming as Emmanuel:

Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. (Matthew 1:23)

Lord, here I am on this special day knowing that you are always there for me. You don’t close shop for holidays or holy days. You are with us always. And today my prayer for your delightful daughter celebrates that you are with her! I pray that Lindsey would feel your presence all around her today as she celebrates the coming of Emmanuel. And we give the glory to you Lord. All the glory is yours. I pray this in the name of Christ Jesus, Emmanuel. Amen.

New Compassions Each Morning!

Good Morning Heavenly Father! And a wonderful morning it is too. Thank you for watching over me and waking me this morning with your compassions! Thank you for being such a faithful God and for sending me new compassions every morning without fail. Thank you Lord. And thank you for the scripture that confirms your extreme faithfulness that I can use for my prayer for your daughter this day:

It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. (Lamentations 3:22-23)

Lord, it is another day, another joy to be praying for your daughter Lindsey. Today I ask that you let her encounter your compassion. Let her wake up experiencing your faithfulness to her. (G) God is Your Guide

Heavenly Father, thank you for creating us with senses so that we can see, hear, smell, taste and touch things in the world around us, in your creation! I can see lightning and a few seconds later I hear the thunder. I can smell a chocolate chip cookie just out of the oven, I can grab one and feel its warmth, and then I can enjoy its wonderful taste (yes, I do enjoy homemade chocolate chip cookies). Thank you for all five amazing senses that I am blessed with. And thank you for the scripture to use for today’s prayer for Lindsey, the daughter you love:

For this God is our God for ever and ever: he will be our guide even unto death. (Psalm 48:14)

Lord, it is me here again praying for your daughter Lindsey. She knows that you are her guide each and every day. She knows that you have been her guide and that you always will be her guide for every day of her life. Lord, she is looking for your guidance today. I ask that you show her the way. Good Morning Heavenly Father. What a marvelous creation you have created for us. There is beauty everywhere if we look for it. I just was amazed at a huge flower that blossomed right here before me. It was far larger than my

entire hand. Thank you for creating such beauty … such a beautiful blooming flower that lasts only a few days. How much more can we be sure you will take good care of us! Thank you Lord! And thank your for the scripture about yourself for the letter H for today’s prayer:

But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy. (1 Peter 1:15-16)

Lord, I am back again. I’m here to pray for your holy daughter, Lindsey. She wants to be holy just as you say that she is. I ask that you help her in her quest to be holy. I ask that you keep her on track this day and that you find ways to let her know how well she is doing! And we will give you the glory. All the glory is yours Lord. Heavenly Father, good morning! Thank you for this new day. Thank you for letting me see more bits of your glory today. Thank you for revealing more bits of your beauty this morning. Thank you Lord. And thank you for the scripture to use for my prayer for your daughter Lindsey … a scripture that reminds us that you are her instructor, her teacher and her guide:

I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye. (Psalm 32:8)

Lord, it is with great joy that I come before you on behalf of Lindsey, who loves you so much. I ask that you continue to be her instructor, her teacher and her guide. Show her the way that she should go today. Light a path before her and help her to see it clearly. Then I also ask that you give her the courage to walk that path and that you give her words whenever she needs them. And we will give you the glory, Lord. All the glory is yours! (J) God Is Just and Our Justifier

Good Morning Heavenly Father! We welcome this new day along with the birds, along with the squirrels. We see how you watch out for them in the winter, so we know that you will also be watching over us. Thank you for

taking such good care of us Lord. And thank you for the letter J which reminds us that you are just and the justifier of those who believe in Jesus:

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus. (Romans 3:23-26)

Lord, it is me again. I am here to lift up the daughter you love. I am here on behalf of your daughter Lindsey. Lord, she firmly believes in Jesus and has publicly declared her belief. So I ask that she may be justified by your grace. Lord, you are just and justifier. And we thank you for this. We give you all the glory. All the glory is yours. I pray this all in the name of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen.

(K) God Is Kind

Heavenly Father, thank you for this wonderful night, for the moon in the sky, only a crescent but still bright enough to light up the street for me to see where to walk. Thank you for the stars – not just dozens of them, nor hundreds of them or even thousands of them. You created stars in the billions just for us to see when we look up at the night sky! You did this all for us! Thank you Lord! And thank you for the scripture that speaks of your kindness for the letter K:

That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. (Ephesians 2:7)

Lord, let me just pause to sit with you this time. Let me just rest here with you. And after I rest a while, then let me speak on behalf of your daughter Lindsey. She is your daughter and I ask that you shower her with your loving kindness. Let her feel your kindness upon her this day as if it were exceeding riches, immeasurable riches, incomparable riches! Make it plain to her that this is all from you. Let your kindness and grace be her riches and wealth. And we will give all the glory to you Lord. The glory is all yours! I ask this in the name and authority of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen.
