Peng Kiong Chou FRSA FRGS MInstLM MIoD MCIHT MIET MSc BEng(Hons)
Peng Kiong graduated from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne with BEng(Hons) in Civil & Structural
Engineering and MSc in Structural Engineering. Upon his graduation in 2001, he joined the UK
construction industry. In the past 12 years, he has worked for major global consultancies. He has extensive
knowledge and experience in both construction and real estate sectors. He is a member of the Institute of
Leadership & Management (ILM), Institute of Directors (IoD), Institution of Engineering & Technology
(IET) and Chartered Institution of Highways & Transportation (CIHT). He is also a Life Fellow of the
Royal Society of Arts (RSA) and the Royal Geographical Society (RGS). In 2011, he received Freedom of
the City of London.
Dan Evans CEng MIStructE BEng(Hons)
Dan has 25 years of postgraduate experience with nearly 20 of these at Curtins. He understands that the
structural form and fabric play an integral part in achieving excellent buildings for our Clients and will
always look to bring practical innovation to projects. He has been a driving forcé in building client
relationships in London for Curtins and has continually strived to raise Curtins stature. He is proud of his
achievements in developing innovative structural solutions in all structural forms especially in modular and
prefabricated systems. He has designed architecturally recognised buildings such as the structurally
striking Hampstead Theatre and has delivered major new build projects such as Block L at Hammersmith
Hospital and the £200m Featherstone Prison with its innovative modular system.

Modern Methods of Construction (MMC)
We use Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) to
realise hidden values of a building. For example, we
use Kevlar® carbon fibre to strengthen existing
structure. This allows us to remove columns and
remodel the structure to enhance or change spaces.
We also use MMC to strengthen existing structure to
enable additional floors and extend existing floor
plates.

quicker than new build, depending on the level of works required.
