1.0 EXECUTIVE SUMMARYThis is a existing mining lease for proposal for obtaing Environmnetal Clearance of RedOchre Mining Lease,producation Capacity 102170 TPA near Village Gowarinya, SewaliTehsil Shri Madhopur, District-Sikar. The lease area is 4.10 ha which is an Banjar andPrivate land.The lease was granted in favor of Shri Mohan Singh S/o Shri bhanwar singh on dated13/05/2010 for 30 years.Table-1

2.0 ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT PLAN

AIR POLLUTION CONTROL

Plantation will be developed within ML areas and will also be developedoutside the ML area equal to 33% of the lease area. Periodical water spraying on the roads will be done. Proper maintenance of all machines will be carried out that will controlemission of gaseous pollutant.WATER MANAGEMENT

There is no surface water body in and around the mining lease area. The rain water collected in mining pit will be used in plantation and dustsuppression.NOISE POLLUTION CONTROL

Proper maintenance of all machines will be carried out which will reducenoise generation during operations.LAND RECLAMATIONFrom the total 4. ha lease area about 1.17 ha area will be excavated, 0.15 ha.Will be use in overburden and 0.30 ha will be used as green belt on around thelease periphery.

SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT

The generated solid waste will be sold after taking STP from the department,as whole waste will be saleable.GREEN BELT DEVELOPMENTGreen Belt/plantation will be developed equal to 33% of total lease area. Thetrees will be planted at suitable spacing to encourage proper growth around thelease boundary. The dead plants will be replaced by fresh plants. Native Plantspecies will be plantedSOCIO ECONOMIC IMPROVEMENT

As the mining activities will increase, better employment opportunity. Semi skilled & unskilled workers will be recruited from the nearby villages. Adult Education programme are proposed for up-gradation of literacy level. The leesee will associate awarness programe.HEALTH & SAFETY

Protective respiratory devices will be provided to personnel working in dustyareas with adequate training. The lessee will associate in various health and safety awarness program innearby villages.

EnvironmentalClearance is required as per EIA Notification dated 2006, as amended time to time andthis project is comes under B Category.

(iii) Need for the Project & Its Importance to the Country/ RegionRed Ochre is used in various Cement industries in defferent district of the state i.e. inChhitorgarh, Bhilwara, Jhalawar, Jaipur, Haryana and Himachal pardesh etc., incement industries red ochre is used as a row material to correct the deficiency ofFe2O3 to help stabilized the clinker factor at the desired rate.Presently the mineral is being dispatched to Ultra Tech Cement Kotputli. It is alsoused in paint Industry.(iv) Demand – Supply GapConsidering the demand of mineral sufficient availability of the mineral in the area,Red ochre is used as a row material to correct the deficiency of Fe2O3 to helpstabilized the clinker factor at the desired rate. It is also used in paint Industry.(v) Imports vs. Indigenous ProductionIt is a cheap mineral used in cement industries therefore export is not possible(vi) Export PossibilityThere is export possibility, Red Ochre is used in various Cement industries in defferentdistrict of the state i.e. in Chhitorgarh, Bhilwara, Jhalawar, Jaipur, Haryana andHimachal pardesh etc(vii) Domestic/Export MarketsRed Ochre is used in various Cement industries in defferent district of the state i.e. inChhitorgarh, Bhilwara, Jhalawar, Jaipur, Haryana and Himachal pardesh etc(viii) Employment Generation (Direct and Indirect) due to the ProjectThe total 30 skilled and semiskilled manpower needed to run the mine4.0 Project Description

4. Method of MiningProposed method of mining will be manual with hand tools, hydraulic excavator/ loader andtippers are proposed for fast removal of overburden, excavation of mineral and for loading ofmineral and waste and for construction of haul road.Blasting is proposed after taking pre-consent from DGMS and other concerning authorities,The mining will be carried out by opencast method by developing the bench of height 5-6 mheight and width. Four slices are considered in a bench. The calculations are as per the fourslices of a bench. Thus the end position of the bench is 6 meter height. Width is also proposed6 meter.

6. LOADING & TRANSPORTTyre mounted Hydraulic machinaries will be deployed from time to time and whenrequired. Trucks and tracor troley will be deployed for transportation of Red Ochrefrom working to consumer.7. WASTE GENERATION & DISPOSALThere is no top soil and the generated waste will be second grade mineral and soldout for other purpose.8. CONCEPTUAL PLANAt the conceptual stage, total waste material of about 1000000 Tonne.(vi) Raw Material Required Along With Estimated Quantity, Likely Source, Marketing

Area of Final Products, Mode of Transport of Raw Material and Finished ProductThis is a Red ochre Mining lease, which used as a row material to correct the deficiencyof Fe2O3 to help stabilized the clinker factor at the desired rate. It is also used in paintIndustry.(vii) Resources Optimization/ Recycling and Reuse Envisaged in the Project, if any,

should be briefly OutlinedDomestic sewage water generated from office toilet will be disposed in soak pits viaseptic tank.(viii) Availability of Water Its Source, Energy /Power Requirement and Source

A. Water requirement:Total water requirement for the proposed project will be 3 KLD which will besourced from nearby villages.B. Power requirement:The electric power will not be use for the process of mining. Only HSD Fuel will berequired for operating machineries.

No significant influx of people isanticipated in the area.(iii) Land Use PlanningThe The total ML area of 4.10 ha comprises of Banjar and Private land.(iv) Assessment of Infrastructure Demand (Physical & Social)Lessee will assess the demand of infrastructure (Physical & Social) in nearby area of theproposed mine site and same will be developed under social work

(v) Amenities/FacilitiesMining Management will develop the Amenities/Facilities in the nearby area of theproposed mine site as per requirement of local people of the nearby area undercorporate social responsibility programs.7.0 PROPOSED INFRASTRUCTURE

(i) Residential Area (Non Processing Area)This is not required as mine workers comes from nearby villages. Rest shelter to theworkers already exists in the major mining lease of the lessee.(ii) Green Belt

Green belt will be developed on the approach road, surrounding the pit and alsobe done outside the lease area equal to 33% of the lease area.

Domestic sewage water generated from office toilet will be disposed in soak pitsvia septic tank. Outside discharge is not envisaged.(vi) Industrial Waste Management

No industrial waste water will be generated from this mine mining operation.(vii) Solid Waste Management

The generated solid waste will be second grade mineral and sold to the market(viii) Power Requirement & Supply/Source

Electric power will not be required in mining operations.8.0 REHABILITATION AND RESETTLEMENT (R & R) PLAN

Proposed Masonry Mining Lease will result in growth of the surrounding areas byincreasing direct and indirect employment opportunities in the region includingancillary development and supporting infrastructure. Special emphasis on Financialand Social benefits will be given to the local people including tribal population, if any,in the area. Development of social amenities will be in the form of medical facilities, education tounderprivileged and creation of self help groups. No major adverse effect on environment is envisaged as the required mitigationmeasures are inbuilt in the project.
