1.0 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
M/s F I DYE CHEM in Plot No. 3 & 11, Sikandar Market, Chandola Dhal, Opp. Chandola Petrol
Pump, Danilimda, Ahmedabad. M/s F I DYE CHEM is promoted by Faizan Iqbalbhai Balotrawala,
and he has plan to established manufacturing of SO dyes @ 55 MT/Month. The project falls
under category B, section 5(f) of EIA notification 25.06.2014. The site is well connected with
road and railway of Ahmadabad city and Sabarmati` river passing at distance of 1.3 km. There is
no forest, national park, wild life sanctuary, eco sensitive areas in surrounding 10 km radius.
The project doesn’t fall under CRZ boundaries.
The detail related to the proposed project is discussed in the upcoming sections.
2. INTRODUCTION OF THE PROJECT/BACKGROUND INFORMATION
2.1 Identification of project and project proponent.
2.1.1 Identification of project
M/s F I DYE CHEM in Plot No. 3 & 11, Sikandar Market, Chandola Dhal, Opp. Chandola Petrol
Pump, Danilimda, Ahmedabad district in Gujarat State. The total area covered by the block is
1202 square meter.
2.1.2 Project Proponent
M/s F I DYE CHEM is promoted by Mr. Faizan I. Balotrawala.
2.2 Brief description of nature of project
The project falls under category B, section 5(f) of EIA notification September 2006 and
amendment dated 25.06.2014. Hence Environment Clearance is applicable to the proposed
project.
2.3 Need of project and its importance to the country and or region
The demand for products intended to be manufacture is increasing in the country by setting up
this unit M/s. F I DYE CHEM will be able to meet the demand of various products locally. The
unit will use good faith efforts to employ local people from the nearby villages depending upon
the availability of skilled & un‐skilled man‐power surrounding the project site. In operation
phase, the proposed project would require significant workforce of non‐technical and technical
persons. Migration of highly education and skilled experience will result in increase of literacy
in the surrounding villages.
2.4 Demand Supply gap
The gap between demand and availability of dyes sources is likely to increase over the years.
The growing demand and supply gap would require increasing emphasis to be given to the
exploration and production sector. This calls for such projects which can help in bridging the
gap. Synthetic dyes contribute heavily for the use of color. Color has an inherent element of

value addition to a wide variety of products like textiles, leather, paper, food products,
cosmetics, plastics, paints, inks and high‐tech applications like optical data storage.
2.5 Imports v/s indigenous production
Raw materials purchase from indigenous production. This helps in the economic development
of the country to a great level. Thus, to decrease the dependency on imports, the project can
work in a positive manner.
2.6 Export Possibility
There is proposal to export the Dye in Asia pacific region.
2.7 Domestic/ export markets
Our products have good demand in national markets. We shall export the products in local
market.
2.8 Employment Generation (Direct and Indirect) due to project.
M/s. F I DYE CHEM will give direct employment to local people based on qualification and
requirement. In addition to direct employment, indirect employment shall generate ancillary
business to some extent for the local population. In operation phase, the proposed project
would require significant workforce of non‐technical and technical persons. Migration of highly
education and skilled experience will result in increase of literacy in the surrounding villages.
3.0 Project Description
3.1 Type of Project including interlinked and interdependent projects, if any.
The M/s F I DYE CHEM Plot No. 3 & 11, Sikandar Market, Chandola Dhal, Opp. Chandola Petrol
Pump, Danilimda, Ahmedabad, Gujarat has a total area of 1202 square meters. The proposed
production is 55 MT/month. There is no interlinked project with this proposed project.
