Finishing Task

Imagine you have 20 cm of string and you are told to make a rectangle shaped enclosure. Investigate the different types of rectangle you can make with a perimeter of 20.

Can you find:- The dimensions of the rectangle that gives the greatest area?- A rectangle with an area less than its perimeter?- A rectangle with an area equal to its perimeter?

Using your protractor and ruler accurately draw a kite and a parallelogram with a perimeter of 20 cm. Can you find their area? What happens to the area if you keep the side lengths the same but change the angles?
