Starting October 5, 2020 buyers will be able to create accounts for approval of purchasing horses at the online sale. Account creations will close October 9, 2020 at High Noon; NO EXCEPTIONS!!! There will be a link on our website at www.topgunhorsesales.com enabling you to register as a buyer. This link will walk you through the process of becoming a registered bidder.You must be pre-approved at 50% of the maximum amount you’re wishing to spend. This amount is held on your credit card to ensure the seriousness of buyer. The full amount will be charged if successful in bidding and refunded if you do not win the auction. We must ensure buyers money is in place prior to any horse being sold.Bidding on horses will open Thursday, October 8, 2020 at 9:00am MST and will remain open until the start of final selling date which is Saturday October 10, 2020. On Saturday, October 10 starting at 12:02 pm MST horses will be for sale for the final time at two minute intervals from Lot #1 to Lot #94. When the time is up per lot the horse is sold or passed if the reserve bid was not met. Bidding is available for three days.

Example of the Timed Bidding and Sale ProcessAll lots will sell at their posted sale time listed on the Auction website.Lot #1 will sell at 12:02 pm MST on October 10, 2020, if 2 or more buyers are bidding in the last 15 seconds of the lot selling, an additional 15 seconds will be added until the bidding stops and the lot sells. Lot #2 will sell at it’s posted time even though Lot #1 may still be in the bidding process. All the other lots will continue to carry on in this format, in two minute intervals, to the end of the sale. This gives people buying multiple horses some time to organize.

Buying a HorseDue to the COVID-19 pandemic there is no preview this year. If you would like to preview a horse before the sale please contact the seller and arrange a showing while following social distance guidelines.This year the ONLY payment accepted will be by credit card with an additional 3% transaction fee for the buyer. The 3% transaction fee has always been applied to credit card purchases in our prior 6 years of having the sale.If you are the successful bidder on October 10th the remainder of the balance owing will be put through on your credit card. • At time of registration bidder will be required to provide MasterCard &/or Visa credit card for preauthorization of 50% of intended purchase amount. This will be reflected as a hold of funds on bidders credit card. NO transaction of funds will occur until final sale.

• Method of payment is credit card only (Master Card and/or Visa) and a 3% buyer fee and GST will be applied to all purchases

• In agreeing to 50% preauthorization of intended purchase price, you the bidder/buyer are accepting responsibility of full payment, including 3% buyer fee and GST, immediately following sale of horse on October 10,2020.

• The Sale Management, auctioneers and employees act as agents for the seller, but assume no liability for either buyer or seller

• Top Gun Horse Sales does not assume any responsibility while potential buyers are on consignors property. For any reason what so ever.

• All responsibility and guarantees are between the buyer and seller

• Buyers assume all expenses and risks on horses after they have been sold

• The highest bidder of the horse will be the buyer if the reserve has been met or exceeded.

• If you are bidding on a horse it is expected the bid is made in good faith and you the bidder/buyer assume all responsibility for bidding on the horse; including full payment, GST and a including 3% buyer fee on the total.

• All horses sold will be subject to a 9% sales commission in addition to catalogue fee. The consignor will have the privilege to no sale or pass on his or her horse. If the horse is passed out, the cost to the consignor will be the catalogue fee as well as $100 pass out fee.

Rio is an 11 year old roan mare that anyone can enjoy. She stands at 14.3 hands high and is a solid put together horse. She has been used all over the ranch from trailing, sorting or treating cattle; to being the horse that the unexperienced newcomer gets to swing a leg over. She has been the first rides for many friends and family. Rio was used as a kids gymkhana horse by previous owners. Her pace is slow and steady wins the race unless you ask her for more then she has alot of gas in the tank. This makes her great for someone with experience to get on and get a job done or throw a beginner on and not worry about them. She has been taken to the YaHa Tinda mountains riding through elk, rivers and all kinds of terrain. Come hunting season she has been used to locate game, carrying bows, guns, and anything else needed to pack the animals out of the hills. Ranger -11 year old Quarterpony gelding. This cute sorrel flaxen mane boy is as sweet as they come. He is a stout pony who can hold his own, standing at around 13.2 HH. He’s been used on the ranch, worked in a feedlot , drug calves to the fire and become quite the little rope pony. He’s been heeled on, and done breakaway mostly. He’s tied down a handful of calves. JH Genuine Dial - Cash-- Cash is always the first to the gate. An easy willing partner. My mother has rode this horse since I started him in his late 2 yr old year. She won’t ride anything that has shown any bucking potential and Cash is a good match. Cash was rode in winter gymkhana where he was patterned on barrels, poles and stakes. He has also been started heeling on the heelomatic and was started lightly on cattle heeling lopers in the team roping pen. We have done some obstacle work with him and nothing much seems to phase this boy. Cash was rode in the mountains and handled the hills and river crossings like an old pro and was the lead horse stepping out with confidence. Tango is a 3 1/2 year old mare with a great start on her. She has got a super smooth walk, trot, lope and stop. She is currently trotting the barrels and has had a rope swung off of her. She has been rode around by a child however is not broke for children to ride, she is just that quiet. Tango has been ridden through pens at the feedlot and has expressed great cow skills already. She has loved every task that has been thrown at her thus far. Additionally Tango enjoys walking out on the trails, she is very sure footed in difficult terrain and walks through water/obstacles without hesitation. Tango is very easy going with all other horses, this makes her a very easy addition into a new heard. This mare is wonderful to trailer, farrier, vaccinate and work with. “Kid” (Pines Drop Of Doc) is a 8 year old AQHA gelding. He has been apart of our family since he was 2 years old. He is a stout 14.3 hand tall with Barry Pine blood lines. This is a flashy, solid conformationed gelding, that can bridle up and have some eye appeal but also can doctor a yearling in the pasture. He has had the all around title as he has been used for all aspects of ranch work to trail riding in the mountains as well as arena riding. “Kid” crosses rivers and opens gates. Freckles is a big strong 11 year old gelding.He has worked feed lots, auction barns and has done ranch work. He has been rode in the mountains west of Sundre at the Ya Ha Tinda. Oakley may be a small horse but she has the biggest heart. Oakley is looking for a person to take her to the next level. She has been to the mountains, chased cows, started on the flag, she goes through water and mud up to the hocks, over bridges, she does gates and has handled everything without hesitation. We have not swung a rope off of her but she has been ponied off of, carried flags and has pulled stuff behind her so it would not take much to start her with that. She loads, baths, is easy to catch and is good for the farrier. She does have a blemish on her hind leg but it has not affected her at all. Oakley would be best suited for a ranch working life. Prairie Sun Tessa is a 2012 Registered Welsh Mare. We purchased Tessa almost three years ago with 10 rides on her. Tessa now has a solid walk, trot, canter and lateral movement. She is honest and willing in all disciplines, but her favorite place is on the trail or in the field, alone or in a group. Tessa has been to the mountains on pack trips, carrying my daughters’ rifle for her first sheep hunt and safe with saddle bags too. She is very athletic and never takes a miss step and is adept at moving in hobbles for dinner time. Tessa has also been ridden in pony club for jumping and has a solid start over fences and is a very bold jumper. Tessa has excellent ground manners and is more on the bottom end of the pecking order in the herd. She is easy to catch and is a very social horse and is the first to call to you for breakfast or dinner. When we got Tessa, we then found out she had foundered prior to us so she has had regular farrier work and is in great shape. Regardless of that fact she has never been lame, but this keeps Tessa in our “Jenny Craig Pen,” during the green grass months. Clips, loads and trailers well, utd on deworming and regular farrier work. Her quiet willing disposition will make a great pony for anyone who likes a versatile mount. Perfect fit for an amateur adult or an intermediate child rider. Can be used successfully in 4H, Western, English and trail.
