    Fire starts in many ways and major

    fire accidents start because of the

    carelessness of usage of appliances and

    children playing with fire.

    Flammable Objects

    Flammable Objects are things that can

    catch fire easily. Some examples are

    papers, cloths, cardboards and woods.Fire sources are things such as matches,

    candles and lighters

    1. Keep them away from heat sources.

    2. Store matches, candles and lighter in dry and cool places.3. Do not light cigarettes, candles or matches near flammable objects.

    Examples of flammable objects are newspapers, cardboards and

    curtains.

    4. Do not leave candles or cigarettes unattended.

    Flammable Liquids

    Flammable liquids in its liquid state will

    not burn; it will only ignite when it

    vaporizes into its gaseous state with

    an ignition source present.

    Some examples of flammable liquids

    are paint solvents, dry cleaning

    agents, pesticides, spray paint,

    propane, turpentine, lighter fluid,

    butane, oil, kerosene, diesel fuel,

    nail polish.

    Electricity Fire

    Electrical fires are fires arise from any

    electrical sources. The most common

    reason is overloading a universal

    plug.

    1. Do not overload a universal plug.

    2. Do not use a damaged electrical plug.

    3. Do not use a plug with a damaged wire.

    4. Keep a carbon dioxide fire

    extinguisher at home.

    Unattended Cooking

    To help prevent rise in fire from

    unattended cooking, we can do our parts

    as follows:

    1. Keep flammable objects such as dish

    towels or cereal boxes away from your

    stove even when you are not cooking.

    2. Never make your oven as an 'extra

    storage' for flammable objects like paper

    and plastic bags.

    3. Never leave things cooking unattended

    as it takes only a minute for a fire to getout of hand.

    4. Check on the things cooking in

    the oven regularly. 5. Do not wear long and loose-fitting

    clothes when cooking.

    Smoking

    1. Never smoke in a bed

    2. Do not leave burning cigarettesunattended.

    4. Keep ashtrays away from open

    windows and flammable things.

    Simplest way to prevent fire from

    smoking is to STOP smoking.

    Children are one of the top five causes offire so it's very important to teach

    them about fire safety.

    1. Be sure that the child knows the basics

    about fire safety and its hazards.

    2. Keep fire hazards like matches or

    lighters out of children's reach.

    3. Make sure they know what to do in case

    of fire by having an escape plan and also

    practice 'fire drills'.
