Planned dates for 2016 are: July 24, September 4, October 16, and November 27. !Parking Updates: Please do not park under the canopy in the front of the building so emergency response vehicles are able to gain easy access to the building. !With the shift to one worship service this summer, we recognize that parking may be a bit tighter than normal. There will be parking attendants in the lot, ready to help you park safely. !Please consider parking toward the back of the lot to allow available space for visitors this summer. !
Kids On The Rock (KOTR): Parents, the last 3 numbers on your child's check-in tag will appear on the black box to the right of the main stage screen if your child needs you. !!
Preschool: Key Question: Who made everything? Memory Verse: “You made the world and everything in it.” Psalm 89:11, NCV. Bible Story: Land, Plants, and Sea. Genesis 1:6-8. !K-5th: Summer format with K-5th starting out singing in the service and then leaving to go to the “Student Space Room” for activities coinciding with the message heard in the service. !

Isaiah 5:1-7 !Small Groups: If you are interested in joining a small group, please stop by the Info Table to sign up so that Amy Anderson can get you connected. Our small groups this year are based on a sermon series in the Book of Luke. We are using a study guide from New Testament scholar N.T. Wright. !Young Adult Ministry: Mondays from 6:30 - 8:30 pm.
Mission Trip Meeting: We are having a mission trip meeting this Tuesday, June 21 from 6:30-7:30 for the mission trip to Joplin, MO. The meeting is mandatory unless there is a specific reason that the student cannot come. Parents do not need to come to the meeting but are welcome to come if they desire. !Service Projects: Our high school and middle school ministries have two opportunities to serve others in the Grand Rapids/Rockford area in July. The first date is July 8/9; we will be building a wheelchair ramp for someone in need in Rockford. The second serving opportunity is July 13 and 14, painting some rooms at Dègagè. We’ll wash the walls on Wednesday between the hours of 12:00pm-4:30pm and paint on Thursday in the morning/afternoon. Summer Women’s Bible Study: Our Summer Women’s Bible Study has begun, but it’s not too late to join! We are meeting on Wednesdays from 7:00-8:30pm, June 8-July 13. We are studying Angie Smith’s Bible study, called Seamless. Contact Amy Anderson or stop by the Info Table to sign up. !

Summer Volunteer Recruitment: River Rock is looking to fill volunteer roles over the summer months in areas such as Kids on the Rock, Hospitality and Care & Support. Could you serve one or two times during the summer months? Grab a volunteer recruitment card today (on a seat near you) or from the Info Table. You can sign up for the Summer KOTR program TODAY at the table in the lobby as well. Please contact Lisa Nyenhuis or Chris Mulder with questions for KOTR. See back cover for contact information. !Hosts needed: Have you ever thought of going on a mission trip to minister to people in Jesus' Name, but have not been able to? Here is a unique opportunity for ministry, as a group of 24 dancers (MS/HS age) and 6 adults, from former (atheistic) East-Germany will be here in Rockford from July 5-8 as part of an exchange program with Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp. They speak (some) English. For most, this is their very first trip to the US. Can you provide meals and a bed to 2 or more of these young people, and share with them the love of Jesus? Many of them may have never experienced it! Please contact host chair Brigitte Nelson at 883-6111. Thanks! !
Facility Task Force Update: Thank-you to everyone that attended our Town Hall meetings on May 22! As was reported, the team continues to work on the recommendations from our Feasibility Study which was conducted last fall. Questions that have been asked are being compiled and the team is working on an updated Q and A Document for distribution soon. Please lift up in prayer the facilities future for River Rock Church, that God would provide a facility on which a healthy, missional ministry can continue to expand. Pray for wisdom and discernment and for healthy dialogue along the way. Also give thanks to God for His leading so far! The Task Force welcomes your questions and comments. Park Playdates: Moms and Dads, please join us for informal gatherings at various local parks this summer. Our next meet-up will be at Rogue River Park from 10:00-11:30 am on Tuesday, June 21. Praise in the Park: River Rock’s Worship Team will be at the Praise in the Park on Sunday, July 24 at 6pm at the Garden Club Park in downtown Rockford. Bring your lawn chair and your voice to sing along! !Book Club: The next meeting is August 11 at the home of Linda Dejong at 6:30pm. The book is “A Man Called Ove" by Fredrick Backman.
