What is a blog-a-zine you might ask? It’s a mix of blog with magazine. I have always liked the conversational, laid-back style of a blog, but like the flip-a-bility (is that a word?) of a magazine.

I am in no way the best writer in the world, but as in photography, if you want to get better, you must practice, practice, practice. This will also get me to continue my craft and update you on events that involve Faith Blackwell Photography as well as events that are important to me across Indianapolis. My goal is to put out an issue twice a month to keep the momentum going.

A little about me.....you’ll get a tidbit about me in every issue.I say that I did not choose photography, but photography chose me. I have been a creative person since day one, but did not have access to even a good point and shoot camera until about 8 years ago. I found my passion through a hobby.

First Fridays at the Stutz

Some studios are open at the Stutz from Noon-5pm every First Friday of the month. The public is welcome to stop in. The Bearcats Restaurant is located on the first floor. Grab some lunch and tour the building at the same time!

Dress for Success Indianapolis Stepping Out In Style

I had the distinct pleasure of shooting the annual premier event for Dress for Success Indianapolis (DFSI). With fellow photographers, Constance Szerdy and Allison Tyra, we were able to capture event from hair and make-up to the Indianapolis Fire Department collecting donations. Dress for Success bills this event as a perfect girls’ night out, but it is indeed entertaining for all and a great introduction if you are unfamiliar with the organization.
