KEITA TURNERWe are lucky to have top, New York and International Interior Designer, Keita Turner as a contribu-
tor. Experience an environment transformed by Keita Turner and you will discover that she is a De-
signer whose business is about creating safe, orderly havens. Turner’s mission is to create high-end
residential and commercial environments that are clean and functional, warm and inviting, suitable
and inspirational, and most importantly that uplift the human spirit.
RANDI ROBERTS GOINSRandi Roberts Goins loves the culture of design. Her approach to writing tends to be historical and
academic, which derives from having a very international background. She graduated in 1997 from
Emory University with a degree in International Studies, inspired by having lived in both Europe and
Asia. Randi has been immersed in the world of design for over 13 years, working with top designers
and having the privilege of viewing some of the finest homes in the Southeast.
DAVE SHOGRENDave is a family man, motorcycle rider, pilot, cowboy, entrepreneur, wine maker, gentleman and
sometime chef. This busy guy especially loves anything with a motor and helps us search the world
for the best in great living ideas for men.
MARCIA ROMANA fabulous chef, known for her style, joie de vie and creating wonderful dining experiences. Marcia
trained in France with Classic French Cuisine as her basis and has over 25 years experience enter-
taining clientele from Palm Beach to Napa Valley. Since moving to the Napa Valley, Marcia has also
added interior design and real estate sales to her repertoire.
NANCY RUHLINGNew York City-based freelance writer who specializes in writing about art and interior design. Nan-
cy has had bylines in more than 50 publications, including The New York Times. Her blog “Astoria
Characters” appears weekly in the HuffingtonPost.com.

GEORGIANNA LANESeattle-based freelance writer and photographer focusing on art, gardens and travel. She writes a
monthly profile of noted and emerging artists for Fine Art Registry and her botanical photographs
regularly appear in garden publications worldwide.Many of her articles are accompanied by photo-
graphs from her own library of over 5,000 images of international gardens, flowers and plants.
Georgianna works out of her home studio on a wooded wildlife habitat in the beautiful Pacific
Northwest and travels frequently around the U.S, Europe and South America.
SCOTT ROSENew York-based Scott Rose has written about yachts, cars, fine dining and wines, opera, literature
and a wealth of additional topics. His by-line has appeared in Bon Appetit, Yacht Vacations, Boat
International USA, Showboats International, Opera News and Caviar Affair. A novelist, he is the
author of the satirical mystery Death in Hawaii.
JUDE STEELELive + Work + Play are three words that symbolize Jude Steele’s business, her collaborative team,
and her life. Each word expresses her deep commitment to take on multi-faceted design projects
that redefine eco-friendly while maintaining high style, luxury and resilience. As a Designer and
green solutions consultant, Jude assists clients in their transition towards greener projects that
do not compromise beauty, function or comfort. A world traveler, Jude currently lives and works in
Sonoma County, California.
BETSY HEADInterior Designer who owns and operates Affordable Interior Design, located in the heart of New
York City’s West Village. Her portfolio won her an internship at Thom Filicia, Inc., the designer from
QUEER EYE FOR THE STRAIGHT GUY. In 2004, she left TFI to begin Affordable Interior Design, a
design firm that gives clients of all budget levels a beautiful space that reflects who they are. Betsy
was also featured in a pilot for HGTV in 2007 and was a finalist to be a new designer on “Trading
Spaces.”
