306 CLAY TILESwith exceptions noted.a. [RR] There were a number of cracked, broken and displaced tiles throughout theroof. The underlayment felt was exposed to the weather. These conditions areconducive to roof leaks.

309 BUILT-UP ROOFINGwith exceptions noted.a. [RR] The roof was installed by a substandard method. The method used was topnailing.

b. [RR] The roofing surface shows blistering. This is caused from poor adhesionbetween the underlayment and roofing cap sheet.

c. [CR] Evidence of ponding was noted. The presence of shallow ponds of water is notunusual. Regular maintenance of the areas is vital to prevent the build-up of vegetation,debris, sagging and possible damage to the roof.
