Mission Statement
• Gateway Regional High School is an academic community that fosters growth, respect, honor, and spirit. We strive to provide a safe and caring learning environment where students are encouraged to share responsibilities for their learning and academic achievement. Our curriculum provides students with the skills and knowledge needed to become productive citizens in a global society.
Academic performance expectations
• The students will:– Process and communicate information
effectively– Develop critical thinking skills– Develop an understanding and
appreciation of the arts, humanities, sciences and technology
– Develop an awareness of good health practices
Social Expectations
• The students will be encouraged to:– Be responsible for one’s behavior– Respect cultural, ethnic, and individual

Requirements for Promotion Class of 2013
• Entrance to grade 10– 40 credits
• Entrance to grade 11– 80 credits
• Entrance to grade 12– 120 credits
• Graduation – 170 credits

Instructional Levels
• Basic– Based on testing, team/teacher recommendation.
• Standard– Ability to work at grade level.
• Advanced – Ability to work significantly above grade level. Able to
work independently & self motivating.
• AP/Honors– Ability to work at college level. Curriculum is written on
college level. Encouraged to take standardized test at end of year for potential college credit.
